I went to the Angels Fanfest today. Not as great as the last one in 2007, but for the $5 admission fee, I was able to get 12 in-person autographs. I'm not a fan of signed balls, and I didn't really feel like searching out trading cards for all 50 or so people that might have been signing, so I just had them sign this year's pocket schedule.

Here's who I got:

Mike Trout
Mark Trumbo
Hank Conger
Brandon Wood
Matt Palmer
Andrew Romine
Rich Thompson
Michael Kohn
Alexi Amarista
Chris Pettit
Dino Ebel
Steve Soliz

I got some pretty nice young star and prospect autos. More established stars such as Erick Aybar, Bobby Abreu, Howie Kendrick and others signed later in the day, but they only signed for half of the time as the younger guys and the lines were twice as long.

Very cool, congrats...

"Baseball players will take anything. If you had a pill that would guarantee a pitcher 20 wins but might take five years off his life, he'd take it" MLB pitcher Jim Bouton about drug use in the Major Leagues... quoted in 1969.

I vow to no longer purchase any product that features sticker autographs...
If your user name is this color I'm afraid I'll have to pass on any proposed transactions at this time.
