It's been quite awhile since we have had our BIG BREAK so I thought I'd guage interest in having another. If you are not familiar with our earlier two BIG BREAKS the format will be a draft style break but the pick you make will be for all the cards that came from a particular box. Here's how it works;

The format for the BIG BREAK this time is tweaked a bit in an effort to try to fill some of the middle slots. The top 2 slots have been priced based on participant bids but the rest of the 36 slots are priced per "bucket". Slots #3-5 are all at a flat price but you won't know which of those slots you get until we hold a random order listing after the payments are all received. Same for slots #6-10, 11-16, 17-21, 22-26, and 27-36. Again, you are purchasing a draft pick in that range but you will not know your exact positioning until after payments are all in. All box breaks as well as random orders will be done on video and an Youtube.

Once all 36 draft slots are sold we then break 36 high end boxes (all Exquisite and National Treasures FB). Upon completion of all the breaks so you can carefully study the contents of each of the boxes, we then hold our draft. When it's your turn to pick, you pick whichever box's contents you would like. We found it's a great format as the folks that pay more for the higher draft positions get the better boxes and the folks that want a bargain can get a high end product at far less than the box actually costs. Also, we found that folks outside the break make offers to the people with draft picks because there may be a particular card they are going after so even if there's not a great box for you...you may get what you want afterall from people trying to buy (or trade) in to the break once they see the results.


Payment Deadline: June 19th is the goal but will depend on how we fill
Cost: Varies with draft slot (36 draft picks will be for sale)

Remember that we have 11 cases so even in the 4th bucket at $395 you will be choosing the box with the case hit (if there is such a thing in these cases). We have 18 boxes of Exquisite and 18 boxes of National Treasures so there should be plenty of great choices among the lower draft slots. The average box price is approx $380 so there are lots of bargains to be had! So... who's in??

Pricing structure of the rest of the slots has been put on the 1st post of the thread. First come first serve to join us...just remember you are buying a draft slot in a particular bucket so you won't know your exact draft position until the random of that bucket.

I'm interested but to be honest I'm not sure I'm a fan of the format being used. I'd hate to pay the same and get the last pick of any one of the so-called buckets. I prefer the scaled down pricing from top to bottom.

Yeah, that's what I've heard from a couple others as well. I originally drew it up that way but then got about 5 requests that I hold the #4 slot for them and figured this would be one way of allowing more people a shot at that kind of slot. Oh well...nothing ventured, nothing gained. I'll let this run another week but if we don't get a bunch of additions by then we'll shut it down and I'll look at going back to the old format for a September break to kick off the NFL season. Thanks for the feedback guys...
