I actually prefer the original lineup better just because I really like 07 Ultimate and 07 Black and am not a huge fan of Co-signers or EEE. However, I would still give it a go either way to try it out.

May close this thread due to a few people not being able to make it, and change the rules a bit.. I understand we all PC teams.. but many people will not join due to lack of good teams left..

It may be best and fun for all of us if we join the monthly and get 3 random teams! Each Member would get a tier 1, tier 2, tier 3.. so atleast 1 great team, 1 solid team, and 1 bottom feeder a piece.. feed back please?

Hmm. Up to you Chris. You are the host. I know we had a good break running for a while before with Abel and it was 25 bucks a team and there was a ton of interest every month.. That being said times around here have changed...

Wonder if the price (although every other month) might be shying folks away...

I have been trying for years to get into a monthly break with my Yankees but... if we can drum up the interest with a draft only league then I would still be in. (only if you agree to trade me all yankees you get..LOL just kidding)

I would be okay with the draft format if we tiered it. Of course the issue there is are there really ten tier one teams?? Maybe we should keep the price and bring it down to 6 spots (5 teams per) or like you said go to monthly and 10 spots but lower the price if folks are still not in...

Maybe make like the Yankees, Red Sox, Rays avail first round.. then Phillies, Braves, Cards avail second round and so on..

Basically all this typing says I do not know..LOL but I would be regardless of format... LOL

I have always been of the belief that baseball breaks work best when all teams are randomly assigned. There is just too much of a difference between the haves and the have-nots. There are 6-8 premier teams that get taken every break and then it stalls out. The fact is, the Yankees and Red Sox will always get the most hits and will dominate top-dollar hits, so there is a lot of reluctance if you can't get one of those teams.

I would suggest lower the price point a bit and go total random.

everyone is fine with this product list? No issues with it? One think was a possibility for more hits is a 2008 SPX instead of a 2007 Black

I'm fine with the lineup. I like Black so would prefer to keep it. If you want to replace something, I would lean more toward Masterpieces, which only has two hits and usually just one auto.

If we keep it in the $60 range, I'm probably fine either way.

I would personally avoid A&G...I know some people love it, but I think it is a product much better geared towards set collectors...I don't think much of it as a group break product. I prefer the big hit based products like Black, Triple Threads, Ultimate etc. I usually like SP Authentic because some of their hits are nice....was very surprised and disappointed that we got two redemptions in our box. I've cracked many, many SPA boxes and don't think I've ever received a redemption. We got pretty unlucky.

Speaking of redemptions...I strongly recommend not doing 06 Ultimate. Some amazing stuff came out of that, but it would be a shame to spend that type of money to pull a redemption, and there are a lot of them. There is ZERO chance of UD honoring anything from 06 Ultimate.

I agree that I believe we need to stay clear A&G. I realize people really like the product but it is mostly a set builders paradise. I also agree that I would rather see the higher end product such as Triple Threads and Ultimate in the break. I do really like the elite simply because there are so many hits per box and they are potential big hits later on. As for the monthly or bi-monthly. I am up for either one. Honestly doens't matter to me, just whatever the group wants. Again thanks for the break!

I will be the outsider on this one but I have and always will hate Black. This product I have never had love for... To me, humbly, it has never been worth the price point.But if the masses like it so be it... I would just ask it does not appear every month..

One other point.. I know it sounds silly but depending on product you will have to adjust your teirs.. like if you go with that Lineup the nationals should not be top tier but the bottom rung. I know that sounds like a pain but its fair. If someone got them this month, with this lineup, it is a waste...

Lets do a draft. Passes the time as well...

While I am a big fan of Black, I will agree that if we are doing randomization, tiers should probably be adjusted depending on the products being broken. I also am not opposed to doing a draft for teams. Because we go three rounds, I would suggest doing a randomization of draft picks, do a snake draft for the 1st two rounds, and then do a seperate randomization order for round three.

Yep exactly, if we did a snake draft then the tiers would never have to be set prior. Chips unfold where they way...

Just a suggestion Chris...I think payments should be collected before we hold the draft. I think it is safer for all involved.
