Package 2: A long awaited one. Here is the back story: At the end of September I ordered 3 items from Ebay using Paypal 2 books and 1 card (this vintage Rookie Card). I put them all in my shopping cart and then did my usual checkout. The total was approximately $20 for everything Free Shipping. I noticed when I got the shipping confirmation emails from the sellers that the "ship to: address was wrong. The packages were being sent to an apartment address in Connecticut, not my own address. UGH. Apparently someone had hacked my Ebay account and changed the primary ship to address. I deleted the wrong address and changed my password also changed my Paypal password. My address was correct there except on the order info. I looked on Ebay to see what you are supposed to do and they said contact the sellers, and try to reroute the packages from the Post Office. I sent each seller the same “contact seller” message that I had been hacked and the item was headed for a wrong address. I couldn’t remember or don’t have a USPS account so I couldn’t re-route the packages before they arrived at the bad address in CT. I had to play the waiting game to see if things got returned. They have been. Well one of the book sellers had another copy of the book and sent a replacement copy. When the original copy gets back to them they will just resell. The others were “Sorry Charlie” we can’t do anything until it gets returned. The other book has been returned, my account refunded for that one, and I’ll have to “repurchase” to get the book. The card was returned and the seller asked for my correct address to resend. That was about 2 weeks ago. Finally the card arrived. The seller was Dean’s Cards out of Ohio. The card is a vintage rookie card of one of my childhood heroes. I got it for $12 Free Shipping. They rated the card a 2 “Good” condition. In addition to resending the returned card they sent a replacement card (same 2 good rating) so now I have two Roman Gabriel RCs.

1962 Topps Football: 88 Roman Gabriel RC Rams
Note the small black and white picture on the front of the card has some guy in number 17 that is not Roman Gabriel. I first was aware of that when someone on a blog mentioned the error. I had never paid that much attention before, but the 17 on the uniform is glaring, and it doesn’t even look like a Rams uniform. Looks more like Giants, the Vintage Football Card Gallery says it is Y.A. Tittle but he was number 14. Maybe its a spring training or PreSeason picture. Speaking of jersey numbers, why isn’t Roman’s number 18 retired, or Kurt Warner’s 13? Number 18 is currently worn by Wide Receiver Kenny Britt and number 13 is worn by Wide Receiver Michael Thomas.

1938 W.A.&A.C. Churchman Cigarettes Boxing Personalities 42 Jack Hart. Has paper loss on front bottom right. Not sure if this is an original or a 1990 reprint. The corners are pretty good for being an original slightly rounded but still sort of squarish. The paper loss section the “raw” cardboard from the inside is yellower than the white printing. The ink on the back is black.

Wednesday 05 October 2016:
Got a box from overseas from TCZ member vito (Kia) from Germany. A huge bunch of Redskins and Rams includes about 20 GU/Relic cards some with on sticker autos. One blogger calls them something like Stickergraphs wish I could remember who it is that calls them that, or what the real term used is. UGH I’m not a huge fan of game used/relics. Oh well they were freebies with no obligation to return favor. Again since this was such a huge amount I will not list them. At least 200 cards, maybe 300 or more. There were two 100 or almost 100 card count plastic cases and 4 team bags filled (about 30 cards per bag?) I think I did an initial count when I first got the box but have since forgotten the count.

Flat package from Football Team Traders at SCF Rod Saints guy: 75 Rams and Redskins cards 72 in 9 pocket pages doubled up (4 sheets) and 3 in toploader or card “saver”. To catalog them properly and to document what they are I had to take them out easier than flipping the pages back and forth in my opinion. There are more Rams than Skins in this batch there is some duplicating, even though I have the Skins as my 1st team. It is mostly 2016 products.

A package (actually 2 packages) from SCF Football Team Traders Hobbyfan the Jets and Giants guy. He sent a bunch of my Redskins, Rams and even some Expos. Most of the cards are in alphabetical order in 9 pocket pages 26 pages total the last page has a couple of pockets double filled. Plus 20-25 cards in top loaders the toploaded cards were in a small flat rate box, the pages were in a priority mail document sized cardboard mailer. The mailer was a little damaged an slightly open when I had received it from post office use. Fortunately no major damage, but some corners I just now noticed are slightly bent. Could also be from where I have had the pages sitting for the last month and a half. Over 200 cards total. So Um NO I won’t do this one I saved this one and the box for last and am real tired of working on this update.

A PWE of 9 mostly A&G minis from blogger John Miller “Johnny’s Trading Spot”. Long story short: He blogged about a set he had completed, but there were a couple of cards he wanted for PC collections. I had dupes of the cards he wanted so I sent them. I guess he sent these minis as sort of a payback. I think they might have been intended for one of the bloggers that is trying to complete some of the mini-sets.
