TK's Monster Leaf Limited Case Break! Spanning three years of product! A case each of 2006, 2007, and 2008 Leaf Limited. Edit: And an additional BONUS box of 2008 SPX Been thinking of what would be fun to break for a decent price and would have a lot of good rookies spanning multiple years. Great opportunity to pull some higher-end cards of your favorite team. If things go well, everyone will have the opportunity to keep their initial team from this in my next break (but are not obligated too).
Team Selection: Please read carefully. Borrowing some methods from Chris (crpalmi), the initial signup cost is $100 (edit from $105 initially) to claim a team. We will then have a paid-draft system to allow anyone with a fully paid slot have the opportunity to get additional team(s) for a discounted cost (starting at $40 for the rest of the teams other than the teams required to be drafted-see below). This system will help defer some of the cost of the three cases so your starting team’s fee is more affordable for those who are only interested in your selected team. This is an optional draft so you can decide when it's your turn to select an open team (and pay the fee) or simply pass. The draft order will be determined by random.org which will be performed live on USTREAM.tv.
Teams that can only be chosen after randomization as second spot in break: The Falcons and Vikings can’t be picked and will be available after the random as a second team for the cost of $100 per team, thus I would like to get 14 signups prior to the randomization. We will start at the top of the randomized list and go down in order giving members an option to take one of these teams as a second spot and pay for that second spot. After these two teams are taken, we will restart at the top of the list (from the same random) and offer the remaining teams starting at the $40 discount price and go from there. Some teams may have to be reduced further and additional pricing will be determined when we see what we have left.
Break Cost: My goal to cover the break cost is to collect $2,150 (will be lower than this if sale prices on products hold till purchase) which will cover all paypal fees and shipping. Not too bad for quality cases with case hits. If by chance we are able to collect any additional funds beyond that, they would go right back into additional product for the break. All boxes will be purchases from BLOWOUTCARDS.COM!
The Break: Will occur live on USTREAM.TV at a later determined date, depending on how things fill. Pics of all hits will also be posted in the thread following the break.
Payment: Only paypal will be accepted and is due when break fills after the random is held and additional teams are purchased: edit, initial payment due prior to random draft, after random draft and additional teams taken, final payment due. Any other form of payment will have to be worked out with me ahead of time.
Shipping: All cards will be shipping with top loaders, soft sleeves, team bags, etc. as you can expect from any decent break and will be shipped with delivery confirmation. All major pulls I will also include insurance on the shipment.
Cards with multiple Teams: All cards will be given to the holder of the team shown on the card. Any with multiple teams on the cards will be randomized via random.org live on USTREAM.TV.

No major adjustments will occur for this break, if we can't fill, it will be cancelled. If I can do minor things to help get the break filled I will. Updated Break Costs - Here are the latest estimates (got some decent deals on the cases), if by chance we are able to collect more than this total from the paid draft we will get an additional box of something:

Thanks for joining and welcome to TCC. I will try to post to youtube for you as well as I've heard that people have saved to ustream then uploaded to youtube afterwards, but I can't make any promises. If anyone knows how to do this let me know. I will try a practice run prior to break (gives me a reason to do a live box break and pick up a box from my local card shop....haha).
Anyway, good start to fill it in one day....lets see what we can do on day two, I've been watching some videos of these products and getting exited for this!! Will update main post with available teams and quality rookies for each when I have time later this morning!

WOW! Blowout just posted some major sales on Limited products which would reduce the price of break substantially. Might just be a weekend sale, but a good sign I could get the cases for less than I thought. Not here to make money off of this so I will get cost down and lower prices as low as possible for everyone accordingly. Lets get this filled!

Since we are so close and this break will fill, I want to at least make an attempt at getting a few payments in so we can take advantage of Blowout's specials today. For now, I will discount everyones spot to $100 even, due to the current prices. Potential to still have a surplus of funds for additional product from this, depending on if the special prices last. With any luck, I will order the case of 2007 today as it's special price is $775, down $91 from the regular price, but to do this, I will need to get 6 initial payments in today, a long shot but lets try! After initial payments, a second round of payments will be due after the paid draft occurs for all who get additional teams. Let me know if anyone has any questions.

Everyone else....great job filling this and getting payments in. I'm very impressed this has come together so smoothly and quickly so far and it seems like perfect timing with the current sales on limited. If we can get 1 more payment we can order the 2007 case. Shoot, just tried to order the 2006 and must have missed ithe sale by one minute, wasn't sure if it would cut off at midnight or not, but it did. I will email Chris at Blowout and attempt to get the sale price tommorrow. I really appreciate everyone stepping up and getting this filled and getting payments in...should be a fun break.

Yes, I will record it on ustream as we do it live, so it will be saved and you can view it later. I also tested transfering to youtube from ustream and had no issues on my test run so if that is still needed for the break it will be done, it just takes a long time to upload them.

Yes, was able to get the case for $399, and actually avoided sales tax, which I had to pay $38 for, for the 2007 case, so it worked out ok.

No, if we fill the last spot today and it was paid, I will still do the random tonight as I'm comfortable that the two pending payments will be received without problem. If someone in the break picked up the spot, I would wait untill after the randomization and final paid draft amounts were in to expect final payment.

Another update on the first two cases that were ordered, they tried to deliver them again today when I was at work. Didn't like my signature on the slip they left yesterday telling them where to leave the boxes today, so boxes are in town, just not in my possession. Guess its good they required the in person signature when the boxes are so valuable.

Sorry. I had team 8-ball playoffs. I was shooting lights out and won 5-1, but my teammates lost - our top guy lost by a HUGE margin that my score could not cover. I must have been in stroke because I hit a 4-rail moneyball shot.

One thought would be to mark the last three teams down to $25 or so. If all three sold we could then afford a box of 2008 SPX for instance.
Just a thought as I doubt those teams will move for $40 but *may* move for a bit cheaper if it could get a nice box out of it for the group.

Yeah, that is the plan but wanted to offer them up at that price in case someone really wanted to get one one of them prior to offering them up at a cheaper price that others wouldn't be able to refuse, or offering them up to others not currently in the break at the $40 amount. I'll post an update in the morning sometime as to the direction of this. Once payments are in, I will order the third case.

Got it, up to $30, anyone else? A few hours left. I just went ahead and ordered the SPX since this seemed ok with everyone so far so it will arrive with the 2008 case. Still need to collect from a few of you guys. Initial post has been updated with all payments I have received.
I was possible thinking Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday time frame of next week, in the evening eastern time. Either all at once or a case a night. What works for you guys? Want as many as possible to be able to be there.
If we had all payments in and wanted to kick it off over the weekend I could try to get some busting in around other activities.

How about doing a CASE A NIGHT STARTING SATURDAY OR SUNDAY. Nothing like watching Playoff football and busting boxes (Sunday). Or do (2) Cases on Sunday since its the weekend and the other on Monday or Tuesday(depends when that last case arrives).

OK, heres what I'm going to do for the Buccs/Hawks, I am going to push up the bidding to $20 each or $40 total. If someone wants them for that price they are theirs. If not I will keep them. This gets us right around the range of covering the SPX. So just chime in if you want them for $20!

Uhmmmm, so what happened was.....I decided to break the boxes last night, the videos did not work. Will try to break the 2008 live, maybe if I feel like it, and will provide no further updates to you guys.
JOKING OF COURSE!!!!....Deantap and I are dealing with that situation right now in another break that has gone bad. Sorry, couldn't resist, hopefully didn't give anyone any heart attacks.
I would like to break Monday and Tuesday night at approximatitely 7:00 ET or 8:00 ET. Possibly the 2006 and 2007 Monday, and hopefully the 2008 will be here by Tuesday to do at the same time. Can possible do a little later if required.
If there is a strong pull from you guys to get some boxes done over the weekend, I could squeeze in one this afternoon or early evening, and possible one early afternoon tommorrow, would have to be done by 3:00ET before the games tommorrow as I have plans. And doing it after the Steelers game would probably be too late for a Sunday night.
I've got a itch to break them but I thought if we do Monday and Tuesday at least you guys would have more time to make plans to watch live more would be able to participate and also give time for the last few payments to make it in. Let me know what you guys think?

In response to Deantap, 3:30 ET I will have a decision, so another 3.5 hours from now. The payments we are waiting on will be paypal and should not be a problem to hold the break up as everyone is already invested quite a bit and even if they didn't get the payments in prior, I would still break. I'm pretty sure they will send payment in whenever the members get back on anyway so won't be an issue.
Everyone else, keep posting with prefered times/days based on the previous posts to help me make the best decision for the group. Thanks.

OK, sounds like most everyone is on board with the plan. Will begin at 10:00 tonight. I will post a link to the broadcast earllier than that to make sure everyone can make it in ok. I would also be fine getting the 2006 and 2007 done today and tommorrow if that's what most people want to do, having Monday off would be good to catch up anyway and get everything reorganized for the last case and box.
2007 product is far superior with a lot more hits than 2006 that is why I thought we would break that up but doesn't matter to me. I know you guys rather would do one case of a year in one night, but another option would be do half 2006 and half 2007 tonight and the other half of each tommorrow. If we do all 2007 tonight, I don't want people to be dissapointed when 2006 doesn't compare. I could somehow show serial numbers of boxes or re-seal the case box to ensure I am not somehow swapping in other boxes or any other funny business. In the end, it's up to you guys so all I know is be there at 10:00 ET tonight!!!!
I will also post another thread up in the box break section to share our break with others.
One last payment due, so get that in as well.

Here's what you do: go on their website and create an account. They have an automated system you can use if you're shorted hits, etc. They'll tell you what they need and how to get it to them, and they'll replace it.
Both times I had to do this, they came through quickly and did so with pretty nice cards. You shouldn't have any problem at all.

Thanks for the info. Already filed online. Hope to print out what I need from there site when I'm back in the office this afternoon and have everything ready to ship to them by the end of the day!
