Tennessee Titans owner Bud Adams wants Vince Young named the starter NOW.
According to the Tennessean, Mr. Adams has made this desire known to coach Jeff Fisher.

Finally, someone in the Titans organization with sense! Vince is not the greatest quarterback, but it's time to see if he will remain with the Titans in the future. There's no way to know this until we see how he can manage the team on a consistent basis, even if the season is already long lost.

Keeping Collins in, who is likely near the end of his career and thus has no chance of being "the future", does nothing for the team long-term. Playing Vince will let us know for sure whether we possibly re-sign Young or draft a quarterback 2010 NFL draft.

i think it is a good move as we saw what he could do as a starter in his rookie year

I agree; even if Vince goes 0-10 it is the right move as it lets us know what Vince can or cannot give.

But remember, he hasn't been named starter yet - the final decision will be all up to Jeff Fisher.

If Mr. Adams wants him in, Jeff better comply. I'd love to see Vince do well, most if not all of the talking heads say he just doesn't have what it takes. Should be an interesting weekend.

If Vince starts... the Titans still lose.

It's not fair to blame everything on Collins. He's not as fast or as young as Vince, but he is a better quarterback.

What happens when Vince loses? Is it just a fluke or will you guys start calling for like Matt Schaub or something rolleyes.gif.

There is no advantage for the "future" with leaving Collins in. What is he - 36, 38? That's nearing the end of his career, most likely.

Putting Vince in for the remainder of this blown season can help us prepare for the future - we will at least know whether we can win with Vince in future years or need to draft a new quarterback.

Hmm, I think that Vince just led the Titans to victory. 15-18 for 125 and a TD.
