where do I start ..lol. I grew up listening to all types of metal:
Celtic Frost, Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer, Testament, Exodus, Violence, Death Angel, Overkill, Nuclear Assault, Armored Saint, Helix, Lizzy Borden, Believer, Candlemass, Voivod, Sepultura, Kreator, Machinehead, Crowbar, Crimson Glory, Iced Earth, Manowar, Savatage, Annihilator, Sanctuary, Nevermore ... I could go on and on ....makes me wanna break out the cassette tapes .. lol

as far as newer bands:
Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall, Zao, Parkway Drive, Asking Alexandria, Caliban, Heaven Shall Burn, Arkangel, I Killed The Prom Queen, Unearth, Bring Me The Horizon, Throwdown, Still Remains, Snapcase, Strife, Nodes of Ranvier, Rifles at Recess, Most Precious Blood, Shockwave, XdiscipleX, August Burns Red, Misery Signals, Stretch Armstrong, Candiria, Dryline, A Day to Remember ... again I could go on and on

Now some bands my old bands had the honor of playing with:
As I Lay Dying, Soilwork, GWAR, Devil Driver, Hatebreed, All Out War, Turmoil, 25 Ta Life, Out To Win, Brothers Keeper, Blood Has Been Shed, Wisdom in Chains, Since the Flood and many more

Like my sig says:
I might be the last in line, but I'll be the first to rock

Who were your old bands, and when did you go on tour? I've seen a few of these bands, wonder if I ever say you open up?

my 2 old bands were Nine Six Nine and At Hopes End. At Hopes End opened up for As I lay Dying and Soilwork at the Crowbar in State College PA and another show with GWAR and Devildriver at the same place. The other bands were from mainly the PA area, cant remember all the place. Both of my bands still have accounts on Myspace with a couple of songs on there.

Close but no cigar, never been to State College. I mainly hit shows in Philly.

I like Soilwork. smile.gif

yea I was really stoked to play with Soilwork. Its sad cause alot of people at that show were there to see As I Lay Dying. They had no clue how big of a band Soilwork is and to actually get to open for them was awesome

I've heard of those places but never made it to any shows up there.

Here's another story for ya, back when I was in Nine Six Nine, we had a show booked up in Kane PA with 2 other bands at some Elks Lodge, one band I cant remember but the other was a band called Burn The Priest and if you know about them, later changed their name to Lamb of God. It was one of those shows where there were more band members than people seeing the show ..lol, anyways our singer just got a brand new wireless mic and Randy (singer for Lamb of God) asked to use it and of course he dropped it and broke it. He finished the song by running around and screaming in peoples ears. At the end of the night they asked us if we wanted to play the next night with them in Athens Ohio and of course we said yes. After about an 8 hour drive, we ended up at this old Barn with a huge Skate Bowl in it that had some semi-pro Skaters skating it. We played on this platform about 20 feet in the air on the outside of the Bowl and it shook every time someone would fly by it. At the time Burn the Priest was shopping around a 3 song cassette demo and I still have it along with one of their original T-shirts. Who would have guessed they would get as big as they are now. Those were the days ... ahh the stories I could tell ..lol

Megadeth, Anthrax, Metallica, Slayer, Pantera. Kinda bummed about the Testament/Slayer/Megadeth tour being put on hold but looking forward to it when they reschedule the tour for this summer. I've seen just about every Megadeth tour (including a show in South Korea in 98/99) since 1990/91.

Also the Big 4, Anthax, Slayer, Metallica and Megadeth are going to do a show in Europe sometime this year. That would be an awesome tour if it came over here to the U.S.A.!

I don't listen to a lot of metal anymore (kind of grew out of most of it), but for the metal bands I still listen to:

The Boy Will Drown, Magrudergrind, The Sawtooth Grin, Skinless, The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza, Whisteria Cottage, As You Drown, The Black Dahlia Murder, Dance Club Massacre, A Black Rose Burial, Heavy Heavy Low Low, Graf Orlock, Converge, and maybe a few others.

Can't believe no one's mention them.. Mercyful Fate. The first two records they made.. Now that's as good as it get's. Slayer's close, reeeal close, but not quite.

I listen to alot of different stuff, from Black Sabbath and the 80's bunch up to Mastodon, Amon Amarth and others. Currently I'm really digging Job for a Cowboy.

And that big four tour, sounds like the ultimate concert in my ears cool.gif

Main Focus: Alex Brink, ANDREW LUCK, Peyton Manning, Thomas Robinson and Ultimate Collection.

Also Collecting: Beanie Wells, Bo Jackson, John Tavares, Karl-Anthony Towns, Kyle Turley, LeBron James, Ryan Nassib, Vitor Belfort, Star Trek, Wrestling and other stuff..
