AP Poll for this Week:

1. Alabama (39) 7-0
2. Florida (20) 6-0
3. Texas 6-0
4. USC 5-1
5. Cincinnati 6-0
6. Boise St. 6-0
7. Iowa 7-0
8. Miami (FL) 5-1
9. LSU 5-1
10. TCU 6-0
11. Georgia Tech 6-1
12. Oregon 5-1
13. Penn St. 6-1
14. Oklahoma St. 5-1
15. Virginia Tech 5-2
16. BYU 6-1
17. Houston 5-1
18. Ohio St. 5-2
19. Utah 5-1
20. Pittsburgh 6-1
21. Texas Tech 5-2
22. West Virginia 5-1
23. South Carolina 5-2
24. Kansas 5-1
25. Oklahoma 3-3

----------
My Thoughs:

-Please tell me why a 3-3 Oklahoma team is ranked 25?

-Who in the world has Pitt played to be considered the #20 team in the Nation?

-Ah, I see, so as long as you are like Texas Tech, and upset 1 team you jump into the top 25. You may have lost 2 other games againt ranked opponents but pffft, one win is enough.

-Poor Va Tech...

-Personally, I think Iowa > USC. USC may have beaten 3 ranked teams but lost to a Washington team that had a "Lion" of a season last year. But other than that they beat #24 and #25(barely). You can credit them with a win against Ohio State, but Ohio State is not that great(Ohio State) team we expected this year. Iowa meanwhile is 7-0 with a win vs. #5 PSU.

-Please TCU, play an actual team. You guys are number 10, but need I point out the 20-17 win at Air Force, or the 14-10 win at Clemson?

-Georgia Tech=Good

-Why is LSU #9? They nearly lost to Miss State, Washington, and Georgia. 13-3 loss to Fla... can't handle the big games?

Well, I'm done with my complaints, I'm sure you ALL disagree so let me know your views :/.

1. Because sadly, a 3-3 OU minus Bradford and Greshem is still better than most other teams that would be ranked in the mid 20's.
2. LSU is number nine for the same reason why Florida is ranked so high, it's a bend and not break team.

just because a team has a "lion" season one year doesnt mean they wont be good the next year. That argument is ridiculous. They have a new coach and an outstanding QB. They have beaten Arizona and barely lost to LSU, Notre Dame, Stanford and AZ st.

Otherwise i agree with what u say but in the bcs standings they still have Florida at #1 and Iowa at #6

Boise St. could hang with any team in the country...last time I checked Boise was the last team to win a BCS game between Miami Fl. and Boise...so I wouldn't dog them til they lose...

I've been telling friends that I think Cincy is overrated, but after the way they took care of business vs. USF, I wouldn't want to play them. Though I really want to see OSU vs Cincy cause that'd be a great game.

Miami is better but the flaw in your logic is that you think your team should be ranked ahead of 3 teams that are undefeated. Until they lose you just gotta be patient.

yeah with Northern Iowa, Iowa St, Arizona, and Arkansas St on the non conference schedule sure screams contenders confused.gif a one point win vs Northern Iowa and 3 points over Arkansas St. isn't all that impressive. Sure the Penn State win was great, but how good is Penn St? They haven't played anyone either.

I feel Iowa is STRONGLY overrated. I hope I don't have to eat my words, but I don't see them winning every game in the regular season. If, and this is a big IF but if Ohio State gets their offensive woes on track they will easily handle Iowa. Iowa will not have faced a defense as good as OSU's or as fast. I bet the front seven will have at least 5 sacks that game. It is so frustrating watching an Ohio State defense this talented and quick wasted with an offense as pathetic as OSU's...at least we still control our shot at winning the big ten.

Well...

1. Its Not Hard To Be Undefeated Win Your Best Win Is..USF(Cincy)..Oregon(Boise..Only Real Team They Play.)..Clemson(TCU..Barely. Also Barely Beat Air Force.)

2. USF Is Not That Great With Their QB Down. I Watched That Whole Cincy Game...He Scrambled EVERY Play. We Play them The Last Game Of The Season..

3. Boise Won A BCS Game More Recently Then Miami. True But That Is VERY Irrelevant. That Is There Only BCS Win i Believe.

4. Iowa Beat A Very Solid Penn State Team, As Well As Wisconsin And Still Haven't Lost..I Say They Deserve Their Spot. But Yes They Are A Bit Overrated..So Is Texas.

5. If It Wasn't For Preseason Rankings Everything Would Be Different..Miami Wasn't Even Ranked Pre-Season.

6. Strength Of Schedule Is "Supposed" To Be A Factor In The BCS.

7. Boise State Has A VERY VERY Cupcake Schedule. Struggling Against Tulsa Didn't Even move Them Back A Spot. Does That Mean All They Have To Do Is Win Out To Be A Top 5 Team?

I'm exhausted but one thing I agree with for sure is that pre-season rankings skew everything...if they would just wait a month into the season to start ranking teams that would be great, but it doesn't help ratings...oh well the system stays flawed sad.gif

Yards per comp - 5.3 (9th in nation)

Run Defense:

Both teams are 5-1

Lost to (Then #14) by 11
Undefeated in conference play
Beat #6 and #18

Lost to (Then Un-ranked) by 3
One loss in conference play
Beat #8, #24, and #25

Guess which one is ranked higher?

My top 5 as of now would look like this

#1 BAMA
#2 Iowa
#3 Texas
#4 Florida
#5 Cincy

i think Florida is way over rated they have not played well against Arkansas, LSU, Tennesee these teams aren't as good as most people think they are just becuase they are SEC teams

Iowa most impressive O and D lines i have seen all year

Cincy losses their starting QB and still goes on and wins

BAMA most impressive team all around i have seen all year

25 for OSU? seriously? I know they played poorly against Purdue but that doesn't dictate their whole season...I'm sure they'd beat TTU, South Carolina, USF, Houston, Utah, and I'm they could beat most others ahead of them on that list (that's some bias showing). I mean it doesn't really matter because rankings are just an opinion and until the team shows it on the field it doesn't really matter what I say sad.gif.

Also the fact that you have USC 14th is laughable...USC is a Top 5 team. Though I love how they still get much media love for losing to a Washington team that is comparable to the Purdue team that beat OSU...just saying there.
USC shouldn't be ranked behind Oregon wink.gif

Tex's top ten:

1. Alabama ( Though I hesitate to put them #1)
2. Texas
3. Florida

after watching USC beat Notre Dame and Ohio State I don't see them losing again this year. I mean it could conceivably happen, but if I were going to Vegas I wouldn't bet against the Trojans.

I collect:
-Colt McCoy inserts/rookies/certain autographs
-A mix of other stuff

Notre Dame is overrated and should have lost to Purdue if their head coach didnt call a late time out helping the Irish.

Oregon beat Purdue
Ohio St. lost to Purdue
Ohio St. lost to USC
