funny career path for Mason:

2000-03 Seattle ( now OKC)
2003-05 Milwaukee
2006-07 NOH Hornets ( who played in OKC)
2007-08 Milwaukee
2008- OKC

no matter where he goes next ( which probably is Milwaukee ) he'll always return to OKC or a team with ties to that town

why every 4 years a comparison? just stop it. its all what if.. and that doesnt count.

For the sake of their greatness and the basketball legacy/history written in Barcelona they will always be remembered as the greatest team.

in barcelona opponents played, saw and touched their idols for the first time. they were overwhelmed and maybe distracted as well.
basketball has since evolved and international teams have improved and have proven they can beat a US-team.

if politics are deciding factor if a player should play in the NBA or not, why are chinese players allowed? China has more excutions than any country in the world and freedom of speech isnt exactly their strongpoint either.

Politics should not interfere with sports. Sport should bring people/nations together and not separate.

Athletes are not to blame for their governments actions. I like to see the best players play, and if that includes an Iranian, so be it!

How will anyone know about him!? Reading wikipedia isn't enough to put a guy in the HOF.

you're right, here in Europe we still communicate with smoke signals...

many international players/coaches/contributers etc were inducted before the internet or worldwide television broadcasting.

for your information: the world isnt a flat pancake and besides north-america there are several other continents as well

he has HOF potential....
not when he goes to Europe

Not true!!

the HOF isnt exclusive for the NBA, its the Basketball HOF and already many international players/coaches have been inducted.

Lebron can have a stellar international career and be inducted. I agree the podium is very different and exposure is less. but i'm sure that changes if a NBA superstar would make the switch.

the euro teams pay the taxes for the players. so the $ offered are tax free.

BTW if the nba would cancel the Cap, you can say goodbye to the small market teams. all the stars would play for the big market teams and no stars want to be in Milwaukee ot Memphis ( with all respect)
You'll see what is happening in euro soccer, the rich are getting richer and cherry pick the best prospects and stars from smaller clubs. you don't want that!

http://www.insidehoops.com/attendance.shtml

http://www.euroleague.net/item/22298

according to these 2 sites, the NBa tripled the greek league in average attendance per game. THe Greeks may have a lot of die-hard fans on average, but the US does to and our attendance proves it. I don't for certain but maybe greece has smaller arenas and thus gives the impression the arena looked filled.
*

Arenas are smaller in europe, i agree. and additionally in these ''heated'' confrontations the organisation keep certain area's of seats open/unsold to keep supporters separated to avoid them fighting eachother...

unfortunately support sometime results in hooliganism. Be glad that doesnt exits in the USA.

we have the best fan support,

please check some Greek or Turkish league games and revise your fan-support comment. Those supporters over there would die for their team, and chant, jump and sing the entire game. These arenas are not empty when the team isnt playing winning ball like in the NBA.

Playing away from home in those countries is like day and night difference.
and i am from northern europe so not biased
