Start of story from Yahoo.com:

"Money can't buy you love. But a few hundred thousand can get you a piece of Beatles history. A collection of John Lennon memorabilia valued by auctioneers at more than $2 million is being sold in London Thursday.

The sale includes youthful paintings and handwritten lyrics, jackets, eyeglasses and even furniture from the late former Beatle's home. The most valuable items have been gathered over 25 years by one anonymous American collector. Auctioneer Cooper Owen, a company which specializes in music and film memorabilia, says it constitutes 'the most definitive collection of John Lennon memorabilia ever assembled.'"

I am there.

I have a print of Lennons work "imagine" Looks like doodling to me but still it is from John Lennon.

How do you think history will look back on John?

I still feel that John had reemerged from seclusion to step into the political limelight although we will never know for sure.

I sure have missed him for the last 25 years. I firmly believe that if he was still around that the Beatles wouldve reunited for like Live Aid or some other worthy cause.

I absolutely detest Mr. Mark David Chapman and hope he rots in a jail cell for eternity. He silenced a positive and bluntly honest voice for my generation. Forgiveness is not in the equation from me.

After all "all he was saying is give peace a chance and all you need is love." Imagine that....

I know this is really opinionated but looking back I compare John Lennon's MURDER much to Martin Luther King. The difference is John didnt take up the cause for a single race or single religion . He preached to all men and women all over the world. Set down and listen to Imagine alone with head phones some night. Listen to the words and think of the overall context. If everyone practiced what Mr. Lennon wrote and dreamed of, the world would be a lot better off. No terrorists, No wars. Try it sometime, you might learn something about yourself that you never knew.

Every December 8th I make it a point to listen to Imagine and Happy Xmas..alone...with head phones... very loud...in complete darkness, just to remind myself that you can change the world one person at a time...
