Well it seems I've been getting alot of messages over my NSC collection.
Top question being: Where do I get all those cool cards? Best place to get anything EBAY.
One thing to remember I also have a Non Sports Card Update price Guide.
This bad boy is the bible in pricing all nsc. No its not produced by Beckett and it has sites for some of the better sites to find NSC's
One I use alot is Warp nine cards in Canada.
Cards due out this month:
LOST: season one (inkworks) these are already released if you go looking for these auto's and pieceworks get ready to break out your checkbooks and credit cards. Starting bids on ebay are extremely high. Yet to see one start for less than $20
KING KONG (topps)
Since topps is producing this I doubt there will be cool costume cards. I'll check on this and lyk. Once I find a checklist.
ALIAS: season four (inkworks)
If you see a product made by Inkworks you know it will be filled with all kinds of goodies!
I'll be running a contest here shortly, so someone can walk away with a very cool costume card. You can use this thread to ask your questions about non sports cards. I'll post different cards from my collection.

Well still no checklist but heres what I found out.
80 card set
retail inserts
stickers (odds 1:4)
textured flocked cards (odds 1:8)
embossed foiled (odds 1:6)
hobby inserts
autographs (odds 1:24)
movie relics (odds 1:24)
So there will be autos and costume cards out of this product, way to go TOPPS
Can you give me a good reference guide where I can look up Marvel Comic cards? I have 5 or so thousand of these guys and will, soon, be catalogging them.
Thanks!
Thank you
Sheesh are you looking for a master listing or prices?
Heres an example pulled from NSU:
MARVEL COMICS (Topps/1978)
Comic..................$1.00
Set (34)...............$40.00
MARVEL LEGENDS (Topps/2001)
Set (72)..........$10.00
Foil parallel (72)..........n/a
Costume level A (9) (1:8)........$12.00
etc. etc
would this be what you are looking for?
Granted at first I liked the NSU mag however I take major issues with the pricing. They come out once every other month and yet the severly lack in keeping current prices up to date.
If you really want a good site to check out for checklist stuff and to see what sets are made and whats in them etc etc, this is THE BEST place to go-

Thanks for the link. Well we all know that all the price guides lack in current activity. Perfect example is the JFK berlin wall card from American Pie. Guide lists it at $5??? Yet I have not see one sell on ebay in the past few months for less than $10. Now granted 7 months ago they could be had for that price but then the book had them listed at $25?? So like everything else its all in what someone is willing to pay for them.
I havent looked at an NSU in awhile. Ive been told Im quoted in the current one with the 3 battlestar galatica chick on the cover. I know its tough to keep up with the secondary market. Beckett is bad but NSU is worse. When key autos get so much action on ebay and its not reflected in he price guide, its apparent they dont pay much attn.
I can see where thats frustration for you and your high dollar auto chase!
But eventually Bob wants to try and incorporate realistic values to cards on openchecklist!
I'm here enough it still echos!!
I dont think prices should reflect the highest paid price lately. Being in non sports, I for one take into account how its listed, sellers fb etc etc can def play games with the ending total. There have been times doing random searches where Ive found LOTR autos in hockey cards. By far my best pick up through a mistake in the listing category was my MIB II Tommy Lee Jones auto. In the right spot with a seller that has decent fb, 400.00-500.00 easy. Because of the slot it was listed in, I got it for under 200.00 shipped.
Yeah I found plenty of miss titled or wrong listings. Not as great as that one. But there would be huge different in prices if those parameters aren't looked at.
So is the NSU guide not recommended? I am collecting a lot of old movies/tv show cards and want to see the value on them.
I wouldnt rely on NSU for anything price wise. The only good that came out of that mag when I was getting it was the listing of stuff so I could see what was out there and what I wanted to go for. While it may "help" with vintage or older stuff, Id keep an eye out on ebay for current market values.
At the sametime, Ive seen stuff sell on ebay for say, 100..yet at a convention or non sports show, Ive seen the same item sell for twice that if not more. Theres alot of people out there that dont use the net for shopping so they either dont know or dont care about cheaper prices out there.
Wish I could help nut I can't even find a NSU anymore. So guess I'll have to hunt one down somewhere. If it was a set it will be there. But maybe just a general view of it. Like 100 cards set bv $20 with no singles listed. If anyone knows where to get a NSU they can send me I'll pay for book and cover shipping.
Two things I usally find my NSU magizine at Barnes & Nobles. Also a question. Is there a yearly guide that is more inclusive that has list and prices for the older and or smaller sets that I have seemed to have collected over the years?
out of the country right now but i will see if i can get one when i get back or may have to wait until the apr/may one comes out i dont have a problem sending you the mag. maybe work trade for it. If that is something you are interested in. Let me know
Whatever it takes. I won't be back till april anyways taking the family back home for 2 weeks
I wouldn't recommend NSU if you're trying to find a price for any individual card. Just picked up a copy the other week and was sadly disappointed that cards aren't listed individually in there. For example my Dick Tracy cards I've got listed on my site NSU lists the "Common" cards as $0.10 each. I've seen listings on eBay for some of these "Common" cards for $3.00 or $4.00 each. NSU tells you the price per common card but then doesn't tell you which cards are common.
So Bob and Jim when you do get the price lists going on Open Checklist please include the Non-sports cards! I haven't seen a good site or magazine yet for NS prices.
Anyone looking for just checklists of NS cards check out
