Okay, so the day is finally within reach for all of us baseball lovers. The day in which we finally get to see the #1 pick for the Nationals at work. We all know he did really well during his stint in the minors. Now we get to see him in action against the big boys. I thought it would be interesting to view everyone's opinion on game day predictions. It's too easy to say, "He'll do really well" or "I feel he will get shelled".... Not really looking for responses like that. Be specific with your predictions. I will go ahead and leave mine....You are more than welcome to leave yours.

7 Strike outs
2 Walks
2 Earned Runs


You don't have to do it in that form only....That's my real prediction for Tuesday's game against the Pirates. Unfortunately I will not be able to view it. So, please feel free to leave your thoughts.

Nice topic Jon. Bet you can't wait to have Harper called up soon, too, huh? (Of course they have to draft him officially first....).

Well, the opposing pitcher Karstens throws batting practice every time he faces the Nats so Strasburg may be able to work with a lead. I'll go with

I don't think the management will keep him out more than 5 innings. He is young and they can't take the chance of him getting rocked/rattled. With that having been said; This is my prediction:

I think if he's rolling through 4, they might give him another 2... But yeah, I can see them taking every precaution to preserve his arm and health. I think it will be great for baseball on Tuesday let alone National's fans.

His stuff is crazy i moved a BASE card white prospect BP1 for almost 25-30 BV

personaly my feelings are

4 2/3 innings
5 hits
3 ER
1k (swing and miss not looking)
3 walks
1 Home Run allowed (solo shot)


i think he will start off good get cocky thinking its just like triple A and make a few mistakes

WOW! I can only imagine what this season will bring. He made the pirates (even though they are no good) look like nothing!

Off by 7k's and 2 more BB's than I expected. Still a solid outing. Time will tell on whether or not Stephen will continue this success.
