QUOTE(milomg @ Nov 27 2007, 01:03 PM) That same site is the one that says you don't need one until Summer, and that you can get back by using a birth certificate and a drivers liscense. I'm making a car payment and going to college, so if I can save $100 and put it towards the trip it would be pretty nice. If I was 29 with a full time job not going to school, I definetly would have just bought one.. but i'm just lookin to save some money at the moment. Also to your edit, I live about 45 minutes from the border.. so we'll be driving which has a complete different set of rules from flying. |

QUOTE(aceecards @ Oct 11 2007, 02:03 PM) I .. in 30 years of driving.. have never run out of gas! Ever.. E means E Not to say that I havent stopped and put $1.00's worth of gas in my car but fuel was only 49 cents a gallon then! That's impressive. Actually it's not though.. it just means i'm not impressive at acknowledging a meter. I don't know.. it's not like my car blew up but.. I guess I get to join an exclusive club for morons |

So i'm kinda cheap, and don't have my priorities perfectly in-line. For instance, I would rather go to the casino, a "gentlemens club," or to the mall and drop a hundo before I pour $10 into my gas tank.
Until yesterday, I ran out of gas. It's no good. Right in the middle of the road, i couldn't really do anything. I didn't know what it would be like, but it's way worse then I thought. My power steering went out and my breaks were acting up. I had about 5 cars behind me as I tried to roll into a subdivision. I bearly made it, and had to have a friend fill up a gas can for his lawn mower and bring it up to me. With the power steering out, it felt like I was turning an 18 wheeler into the sub division.
So for the young kids who did what I used to do and think that below E won't run out for 2-3 days, it will. Then some of you are probably too smart, and just put gas in there, well played.
And hello everyone.. haven't been around here for a while. |

QUOTE(baseballguy601 @ Aug 7 2007, 12:31 AM) wait a second......minimum wage is 7.15 Yea.. I was about to say. Even though it is minimum.. it's still not that bad. I know for sure it's 7.15 becuase it says it straight up on all my check reciepts. Unless you're under 18, ffman. If you are, then it's lower then that. If not, then you might want to bring it up and see what the deal is. |

Congrats on the job. I've been working at a golf course this summer and it's awesome. I work ussually about 4 days a week, 6-8 hours a day. The days I don't work.. I play golf for free. You probably make minimum wage like I do.. but if you pull down 20-25 hours a week it's not that bad for a job that you have while school is going on. It's also pretty sweet at the course for outings and stuff... usually on a normal day we can make up to $100 each in just tips. Keep it up good sir. |
