Wow, I disagree with that statement. I don't think most people respond with anger, although I do think when someone does respond with anger those involved have a tendency to remember that it was handled that way, as opposed to remembering the situations handled with patience and understanding.... go figure...

Enough with the "poor me" routine every single time that someone decides to respond to the "in your face" approach that you take with everything!  My goodness this gets old.   dry.gif

If you sensed a little attitude, then you're right!  I, and many others, am a little tired of the inability of a segment of "collectors" to use the same type of basic problem-solving techniques that you'd use in dealing with your neighbor, the local store, etc.  Just because we all "know each other" via the computer as opposed to real life does not justify treating each other poorly.

Amazingly, the approach employed by some via the Internet would result in the other person walking away or worse in real life.  Here, it's supposed to motivate us!   rolleyes.gif
That's the way some people tend to respond.
Excuse?  It's reality and, luckily, something that most members understand.   wink.gif
You took a general topic in which no single member was mentioned and immediately turned it into a topic about me and the team of volunteers that helps to run this site.  As always, it's noted and certainly appreciated.  Thanks!
You and your friends have been suspended for an inability to be civil and respectful with each other.  The fact that you and your friends still don't understand that and continue to want to debate about how we're all just wrong and don't understand you and your friends doesn't bode well for the future.

I'm reminded of something my Dad always used to say...

If you find that one person has an issue with your behavior, maybe that person is just wrong.  If you find that many people have an issue with your behavior, maybe the person in the mirror is wrong.
Oh, I don't know...  Let's see.  Again, you took this general topic in which no single member was mentioned and immediately turned it into a topic about me and the team of volunteers that helps to run this site.  Why is that?   unsure.gif

WHATEVER!!! I GUESS IM JUST A SARCASTIC PUNK THAT AS KNOW IDEA ABOUT REAL LIFE! AGAIN ITS OK FOR YOU AND YOUR TEAM TOO MAKE THE SAME TYPE OF EXCUSES THAT WE GET TALKED DOWN UPON FOR MAKING! YOUR RIGHT IM WRONG IMAGINE THAT, IM DONE WITH TRYING TOO MAKE YOU AND OTHERS UNDERSTAND IM NOT TRYING TO START CRAP ON THIS SITE!!! IM HERE TO TRADE AND MAKE FRIENDS LOOK AT ME HOW YOU WANT!! IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOU THINK OF ME, IT ISNT YOUR PLACE TO JUDGE ME FOR THE WAY I AM! IF WE GET TALKED DOWN TO OR YOU AN YOUR TEAM TRY TO MAKE US LOOK FOOLISH OF COURSE THE REACTION IS GOING TO BE TO GET DEFENSIVE. IM TIRED OF OF EVERYTHING GETTING TURNED AROUND ON ME WHEN I GIVE AN OPINION OR MAKE A POINT! AGAIN I GUESS I AM A BAD PERSON TO YOU AND YOUR TEAM, AND NOTHIN IS GOING TO CHANGE THAT KNOW MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I APOLOGIZE OR TRY AND GET YOU TO SEE WERE ME AS WELL AS OTHERS ARE COMING FROM. YOUR SARCASTIC (AS WELL AS CERTAIN TEAM MEMBERS) I WONT MENTION NAMES, APPROACH TO RESPONDING TO CERTAIN OPINIONS GETS OLD AS WELL. THE PIONT IS WHENEVER WE RESPOND TO YOUR SARCASTIC RESPONSES & FIRE RIGHT BACK WITH SMARTALIC RESPONSES WE GET TALKED TO LIKE WE ARE CHILDISH! WE WOULDNT EVEN GO THERE IF WE WERE NOT TAKEN THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE BY THE SRACASTIC RESPONSES! I GUESS THAT IS EASYILY OVER LOOKED AND DISREGARDED BY YOU AND CERTAIN MEMBERS OF THE TEAM THOUGH! FUNNY THING IS, IS THAT WHEN WE RESPOND BACK SARCASTICLY OR SMARTELICLY WE GET DISCIPLINED FOR IT 9 TIMES OUT OF 10! HOW IS THERE ANY FAIRNESS OR JUSTIFICATION IN THAT? IVE HAVENT EVER SEEN A TEAM MEMBER GET DISCIPLINED FOR BEING SARCASTIC OR A SMARTELIC TO A REGULAR MEMBER! I CAN NAME SEVEAL TEAM MEMBERS (IF I WANTED TO STOOP TO THAT LEVEL) THAT ARE RUDE, SARCASTIC, AND SMARTELIC ON A REGULAR BASIS. YOU CAN RESPOND IF YOU WOULD LIKE, BUT IM GOING TO STOP HERE BEFORE I GET DISCIPLINED BY SOMEONE FOR MAKING A POINT. THE POINT WILL PROBABLY JUST GET OVER LOOKED AGAIN ANYWAYS. I LIKE BEING A MEMBER OF THIS SITE TO TRADE AND MAKE FRIENDS. HOWEVER THERE ARE CERTAIN THINGS ME AS WELL AS MANY OTHERS DONT AGREE WITH.

IM SURE YOU OR SOMEONE WILL SEE THIS RESPONSE AS SOMETHING BAD. IT WOULDNT SUPRISE ME, EVEN THOUGH I HAVENT CUSSED, BELITTLED, OR SAID ANYTHING UNTRUTHFUL IN THIS POST!

yes, there is some slight chipping on a few corners which is common on these certain autos. the brown boarders on these cards caused the cards to chip easily and ive seen many way worse then the one in my bucket!

Timeliness of responses would be a separate issue.  However, I fully understand that it's always easy to find other things to justify various actions.
Life is what makes things take longer than desired at times.

As a reminder, the entire TCC team (including me) does this as an extension of our hobby.  So, like any hobby, the time that gets spent on it is usually part of the famous "spare time".  So, not only is time limited because this is hobby-related, but everyone must also understand that we're trying to split our time between personal enjoyment of our hobby and working to provide an environment that helps all of you to enjoy your hobby as well.  It's a balancing act that often involves many, many variables.

I've often wondered though...  Would those who tend to complain about our service be the first to pay fees to improve that service or the last to do so?  My gut tells me the latter is the case.  wink.gif

first and formost, why cant i simply respond to a post without getting "sarcastic" responses?

However, I fully understand that it's always easy to find other things to justify various actions.
Life is what makes things take longer than desired at times.

second i never once said that these actions were justified i simply stated that thats the way people tend respond when they dont get a matter handled in a time frame that is suitable for them.

I've often wondered though... Would those who tend to complain about our service be the first to pay fees to improve that service or the last to do so? My gut tells me the latter is the case. wink.gif

third i would be the first member on this site to pay a fee to continue being a member! why might you ask? so that this excuss (which is getting very old and played out!) would no longer be a justified excuss for handling matters.

I by far am not trying to "SHOW" you up in anyway Bob. I was just simply giving a response that is "My Opinion" as to why people may react the way they do.

We do not have the power to suspend a mod or admin. on the site as your team does. rether its a justified suspension or not. i have been suspended, as well as, friends of mine for simply trying to rectify our case or opinion on certain matters. However it does seem odd that at times when i respond to a post or certain people respond to a post, its automatically taken as lashing out at you or your team members! why is that sir? i like to debate and discuss things ive stated that many times! so does this justify me getting suspended or any other member getting suspended for doing exactly that? anyways im tired of a bad light getting shined upon me, im not a bad person, and i care about way more then a lot of the members of this site think i do! if you or any of your team members have ever felt that i just try to show you guys up or start issues for nothing then i apologize! im just debating certain issues, i dont have to agree with the way Everything is handle on your site, just as you and your team members dont have to agree with the way i might see ceratin things. thats a right we all have being americans tthat right to our own opinions and freedoms!

i also ask that you or any team member not take this post the wrong way im simply explaining how i feel , and how i look at certain situations! not calling anyone out or trying to "show" anyone up! thanks ~ steve

i have 1 thing to say here why not pitch Clay Buchholz in game 3??? ya hes a rookie blah di de blah blah blah, who gives a crap! the kid was awesome when he pitched ( NO HITTER does anyone remember that?) 3-0 record! i mean come on you know they have to be preparing him to be a starter next season, why not? if he buckles and gets shelled then oh well your still up 2-1 with dice-k starting game 4, and beckett and shilling coming back for 5 & 6! if it were my call id give Buchholz the nod to see what the kid could do in the big game situation! then if hes getting rocked bring lester in before his confidence takes a hit!

and the wood and prior comparison rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif ! those guys are fluke examples! most of priors injury's are leg related anyways. Kerry Wood i mean were do we begin with this guy? when you throw 97-99 mph with a absolutely filthy curve & slider your going to develope arm problems eventually! if not arm & shoulder problems then back problems( look at Randy Johnson) career ful of back problems he was just a man and pitched through pain, which is way more then we can say for Kerry Wood or Mark Prior!!

A) would seem to be the correct approach, however it does seem to take a very longtime to get a response from you and others so times.

for example i was told almost 2 weeks ago you would get back to me in regards to our conversation, and i have yet to here from you? not that, thats a horrible thing cause we all know your busy, but it does seem exceptionally long to me? i havent bugged you or bother you any further with the matter just wonder what takes so long sometimes.

whenever things arent handled in a quick manner people do tend to react out of anger! however our version of quick and yours may be two totally different opinions. biggrin.gif

Hurdle is not going to get quality starts from Morales or Jimenez this series!

Around the horn I give the edge to the red Sox at most positions

Catcher definetly goes to Varitek
First base is close between Youkilis and Helton
2nd is a tossup also Pedroia vs the red hot Matsui
SS I give the edge squarley to the Rockies but who knows how the rookie will stand up! Lugo has looked horrid in the field against the Indians!
3B I give the edge to Lowell although Atkins could prove to be the surprise of the series!

OF overall I think the red Sox OF has better arms and more pop than the Rockies. I think the red Sox will have to pitch carefully to Holliday and Hawpe but CF remains an enigma for the Rockies!

Pitching.. I give the dge to the red Sox in all facets.. Starters Middle relief and Bullpen and this my friends will be the deciding factor!

Managers You have to give the edge to Francona.. he has been in the series before and won!

MY PIONTS

i have to disagree with several of these statments.

1) Jimenez is a stud and looks like one of the best rookie pitchers in baseball. game 2 proved to be a very nice pitching preformance by the youngster!

2) Has much as i love youkilis, helton is a better firstbaseman (batting & fielding) he has years of numbers to back him! youk will get there but helton has way more experience at this piont.

3) Pedroia & Matsui a tossup? have you seen Pedroia all year long? hello, possible rookie of the year & the spark this kid gives the rest of the lineup when he is hitting, way better and more valuable then matsui (who by the way was a castaway by the mets)

4) again as big of a sox fan as i am, to say that the sox have more pop & better arms in the outfield is pushing it! i mean J.D Drew (weak arm & down year for what we paid this guy), Coco Crisp (weak arm & doesnt exactly have pop), Jacoby Ellsbury ( not exactly a canon arm either & not exactly a hr hitter) It would seem your only valid case here would be Manny Ramirez ( decent arm & much pop) however when manny is having a manny moment he is a big liability in the outfield as well.

The Rockies on the other hand have Willy Tavares (weak arm & no pop) however is a very good leadoff man & is a flat out speedster! Brad Hawpe( decent arm & plenty of pop 29 hrs in right field), an the there is the NL MVP in my book Matt Holliday( decent arm & much pop 36 hrs)

so overall im guessing besides experiance the Rockies actually have the advantage in the outfield! these guys just need to start hitting again.

My Sox Win this Thing in 5 games!
