I have had several requests now to look into doing a group case break of 2008 Upper Deck SP Authentic. I have done some calculations and believe I could do the break for around $68 per spot (1 picked and 1 random), which is a little more expensive than my previous breaks. I am looking to see if there would be enough people interested to fill this break. I would also like to hear from the people who have commited to teams in my future breaks because I'm sure they were not figuring on spending this much.
Here is the product information:
Configuration: 12 boxes per case. 24 packs per box. 5 cards per pack.
CONTENT HIGHLIGHTS
- One (1) Autographed Memorabilia card in EVERY box, on average! - Including an unprecedented eight (8) Rookie Autographed Patch Cards in EVERY case, on average!
- Two (2) additional Autographs in EVERY Box, on average! - Look for Multi-signed cards falling two (2) per case, on average
- Look for 1-of-1 Autographed Rookie Logo Patches!
- All autographs are signed on the card!
This sounds like it could have some really nice stuff in it!!

Alright, so let me see if i got this right:

If that is the case then we are full.
I guess I will go ahead and start accepting payments. Although there is no pressure as this product doesn't release until January. However, it would be nice to go ahead and purchase the case soon to avoid having to pay more if the price went up. Just pay when you are able!!!

Okay everyone, here is the latest update. I have not heard back from tileman regarding his payment but I know he is good about paying so I am not worried about that. I have also heard back from skubakuda19 about paying for his second spot and he will be paying tomorrow. Well guys, I just found out some slightly bad/irritating news. Apparently Upper deck has pushed back the release date of sp authentic to January 28th. The only way I found this out was because I sent a message to the company I purchased the case through and asked for an update on the shipping information. They stated that the product didn't release until the 28th of this month.
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't it scheduled to release on the 7th or is that something that I imagined??

Alright, I got an explanation as to why upper deck pushed back the date. This year there won't be any redemptions in their products so they are waiting for all the autographs to come in before releasing the product. So I guess it's not that bad of a thing to have to wait a couple more weeks.

Alright, here's a couple of things. I just got word from the seller of this case that it should be shipping out on Friday. I am not sure when exactly that means the case will arrive. I am also looking into the possibility of doing this break live on ustream but I have got to work out some details first. I realize that this weekend is super bowl weekend so doing the break on Sunday will not be a good idea. I was wondering if maybe Monday night would work for everyone. Assuming the case is here by then.

Also for this sp authentic break. I receive a message from the seller of the case today stating that he wasn't going to be receiving his cases until early next week due to the ice storm that hit recently. He said that the storm put UPS behind schedule and that his suppliers hadn't receive theirs yet either. He said he would ship out the case the day he receives it.

Alright, here's where things stand. I just received word from the seller that he would be receiving the case tuesday afternoon and would be shipping out the case first thing Wednesday morning. This break hasn't happened yet. I will be receiving the case hopefully by friday. I think you are talking about the playoff contenders break. Some of the people who were in my contenders and sp authentic break said they would be okay with me shipping out cards from both breaks after the sp authentic break is complete. I hope that is alright with you. If not let me know and I will have your cards from that break out as soon as possible.

Well, I have some not so good news. The case wasn't delivered today. I had a note in my mail box saying that someone needed to sign for the package because it was insured. I will be going to pick it up from the post office tomorrow morning around 8 am. However, my wife and I have plans up until 3 pm. I am looking to bust the case sometime between 4:30 and 5:00 pm ET tomorrow. Let me know if this time works and sorry for getting your hopes up. I was pretty frustrated when I found out.

i shipped all of the cards out last week. They should be to you by tomorrow or Wednesday since today was a national holiday and the mail didn't run!!
