I don't know why I even have to post this, not that I have to, but people are so lazy nowadays that they have been shipping in toploaders with no penny sleeves. Ok, this does 2 things: 1) Upset me due to the senders laziness. It's a penny. 2) In transit, the card is not carried by a white gloved letter carrier who slowly walks across country to personally deliver your package. It's put through sorters and smashed in bins and all kinds of dumb stuff. The card slides and bounces in the toploader during transit. The bottom 2 corners, and sometimes the top 2, are relentlessly damaged and sometimes tape glue gets stuck to the card. SO, spend a cent and keep your receivers happy. Spend a cent and protect the items that we all cherish so much. Spend a cent and save yourself the neutral or negative feedback. This is not rocket science, it's a hobby. Take a second and get your junk together before you trade/sell your cards. Oh, and don't wait a week to send out either. That junk sucks too.

This has happened with traders on TCC also. That's why I posted it here. I have had 3 cards, in the last 2 weeks, from both TCC and Ebay sent in a toploader with no penny sleeve and the one from Ebay was sent PWE with a shipping value of $3.95. All 3 cards had soft corners on the two bottom corner and one had tape on the top. One had no tape on it and slid out and had some light damage to the top. It's stupid because I treasure cards in general and I don't want to see any damaged for no reason. It's like damaging a Picasso even if it's a lower end card. The companies are trying to give us cool stuff to look at. Plus, I don't want to waste my time getting damaged cards or having to send them back. It's a hassle that can be avoided for 1 cent. QUOTE(captkirk42 @ May 14 2010, 03:06 PM) Agree it is maddening to open a package to find a card in a toploader with no penny sleeve. Fortunately I have have very few instances of damaged cards from this unsafe practice. Damage from tape, however is a different story. I think this problem is more so from Ebay sellers who somehow got a hold of some trading cards to sell and know nothing of the hobby, and of other sellers like some at sportlots, who just don't care because they are sending low valued common cards. Everybody should adapt the Golden Rule to sending cards. "Send cards safely onto others as you would have them send safely onto you"

I heard that, Jason. Most of us have our cards in toploaders with penny sleeves. If you don't have extra, use one off a lower end card of yours. It's not worth the negative implications. QUOTE(edgerrin32 @ May 15 2010, 12:27 PM) $1 for a pack of a 100, or a failed transaction (TCC) or neg feedback (eBay) and a item damaged and a full refund (paypal)? Seems like I would take option #1!

QUOTE(ronaldinho0003 @ Aug 12 2010, 02:23 PM) Wow! Was Do Not Bend or Fragile stamped on the front of the package? Nope...just a PWE with a 44c stamp on it. And the card looks to be in nearly pristine condition too. Would had been a shame if it was damaged. I think I got lucky on this one.
