The jerseys that they sell in shops don't have the Premier League patch on the sleeves....even the ones in the official shop don't. You have to buy those patches separately. They sell the various patches: Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, etc.

Ah. Ok. Yeah, on LFC's website, it was something ridiculous like 60 pounds for a Gerrard jersey with the patches. That's at least $130. That makes me really glad I got it for $30 delivered! smile.gif

It's been a reasonable start to the season for Villa! I watched the Liverpool v Villa game yesterday and was a little disapointed with our performance. Defensively we played well holding liverpool to 6 chances and non on target, but when Torres left after 20 mins or so with a tweak to his hamstring, we didn't really push foward and put a whole lot of pressure on liverpool. Only 2 on target chances for us, and with the likes of Carew, Young and Agbonlahor that is not really good enough! Oh well, 7th place and 4 points isn't too bad of a start! What are your opinions to your team's starts, whether La Liga, Serie A or the EPL?!

I'm quite happy with the start Liverpool have made so far....they've shown that they have the ability to grind out tough results, but I'm a little worried that they'll be facing the next few weeks (and some really tough matches) without both Gerard and Torres. Here's where Keane will have to take advantage of the lack of goalscorers and bang a few in for the team!

Liverpool's two injuries will definately hurt them. Torres is out for 2-3 weeks with a confirmed tear in his hamstring! Watching their game with Villa, there wasn't really that spark or creativity from them with 2 key guys missing; so how well they will face up against Man U in a few weeks time as well as Marseille in the Champions league I don't know?!! They have bolstered their left side of Midfield so that should hopefully help them out!

Robinho to City is a good and bad thing for the EPL. Good in so far as the talent he posses and what he'll do for the club should be great, and certainly make Man City games a more entertaining event. On the other hand another foreign born player in the EPL isn't doing any good for up and coming english players in the lower divisons and their development, as well as the england national side! Also the price (£32.5 million) is mad!!! The likes of the Abu-Dabi investment group throwing their money around will be no good for the smaller clubs in the league such as Fulham, Hull and Stoke that can't afford by any means to bring those sort's of players in, or any players if wages across the board continue to rise!!

Liverpool played a great game! If they can keep that sort of play up, then they may be moving northwards in the table. The pressure they put on United and the errors they forced them into were fab!

What an EXCELLENT result! It's been a long time since they dominated Man Utd that way! Also a candidate for best own goal of the season! Hint to Fergie: drop Van der Sar and bring back Taibi! biggrin.gif tongue.gif biggrin.gif

Woohoo! Babel's goal was absolutely fantastic! I could not believe Man U's lack of defense on that play.
