Didn't see any one choice that fit me so I went with player collector.....since I did go from Yao Ming to Delmon Young to Pete Rose.

Have to admit, I was pretty surpised to see your Young's up for sale...

I'm a little bit of this and a little bit of that kind of collector. I fit a few of those categories. I'm mostly a set builder. I'm building Topps baseball sets from 1975 thru 1995. I'm part player collector. I have a pre-war player collection. I'm a vintage collector. I have about 100 cards from the 50's and 60's. Mostly from the bargin bins from shows. And some times an old school collector. I have traded higher BV on cards just to get some lower BV cards I needed for my sets.

I honestly bought in to him as an investment. Some like to call it "prospecting" but I am SO far from a prospector it isn't even funny. I had some investing money to use and decided Delmon was a good bet.

Other than that, I like to buy what make sme happy...Pete Rose, some cards from the 70's, 1983 Topps, 1984 Topps...etc Certainly nothing that screams high end or prospector LOL

I guess I had to best describe myself as a flipper. I have no trouble getting rid of any card(s). Basically need to fund my addiction so selling a card asap(while it`s still hot)is my way. I also enjoy building sets but they`re becoming much more difficult and confusing to do. You can also categorize me in the Team Fanatic class. I have a lot of New York Jets Collectibles from autographed 8x10`s to mini helmets to autographed and professionally framed/matted jersey`s. But I also collect anything football really. I have a few other signed jersey`s and lithographs of various stars like Joe Montana and Favre. Maybe I`ll get a few pics up one day of my Jets/football stuff.

Team Collector - but not necessarily interested in the 'complete team set' unless the players are all currently with my team, pretty rare anymore. Avalanche is all!

Team Fanatic - to a dabbling extent with pucks, team flag, hitch cover, jerseys, glassware, but it has to be a reasonably quality item of some everyday use to me, but no attempt to "finish sets" of anything in this category

Happy Collector - one who is content with the journey taken to architect their collection without regard to it's monetary value or perceived value to other collectors.

I had to say dabbler, because I collect any star baseball players. Ripken, Griffey, Sosa, McGwire, Pujols, Andruw Jones, Chipper Jones, Greg Maddux, Pedro, Clemens, and so forth.

Probably a box breaker combined with a player super collector. Nothing beats the thrill of opening a brand new box of cards! I also collect all things to do with Mike Bibby!
