Clearly this was in the works well before the steroid scandal hit. Only time will tell with this one...Barry returns, this is a hit. If he doesn't, well...ouch

Yes, Topps certainly found themselves in a different situation than they originally expected when they worked out the deal with Bonds. Between the steroids issue and his injury, there's not quite the anticipation that would have been expected for this season. With that said, my guess is that the Bonds cards will still do quite well. If you like Bonds, then any of the special cards related to his HR accomplishments should be nice to collect. It will also be very interesting to see what type of trading system Topps provides through the site. If they use some of what they have on eTopps, it could be another step toward having better online trading tools. -Bob
