Wow, must be nice I can only dream
Those are REALLY NICE!!!!
Are we sure that is not a relation to TCC Bob??? That might explain why he disappeared. just kidding. That is unbelievable, there are probably more out there somewhere, and even more that someone unknowingly just threw in the trash.
Thanks for the link, Mr. Cogle.
I saw this earlier today on another site and wrote this in response
to some naysayers of our fine Hobby.
"Folks, I have been in this fine Hobby for 41 years.
I have seen it from the Collectors point-of-view, the
vendor at small town card shows point-of-view, the appraiser of a recently widowed wife's point-of view, the employee of a sports & memorabilia shops point-of-view (6 years) and the manager of a sports card trading site with 30,000+ members.
These kind of stories still, to this day, warm my heart.
Granted, it's just cardboard with pictures of men on them. You have to understand the true collector also has a deep, abiding love of the game of Baseball. The history, the epic stories of achievement and failure, the perfection of 60 feet - 6 inches and 90 feet between the bases, the smell and sight of freshly mowed green grass . . .
I could ramble on endlessly. None of you fine readers deserve that.
What a thrill the Heritage Auction with this lot will be. I will be following it closely. 16 E98 Ty Cobbs graded 9, un-flippin'-believable!"

Check out the close-up of the Wagner . . .

I see Santa is in the house; plan on buying one of these for a TCC giveaway?
Thats awesome!!!!
Its a great idea to showcase it at the National. Kinda regret not making plans to go now. lol
How did my collection get to OHIO? O wait, how did I get to Illinois? I need to be reunited with my collection again, maybe we could meet half way, say Indiana?
I saw where the lot got $566,132 at auction.
Kinda surprised they didn't go for more, but they were only estimated to get $500k.
Incredible.
