I am far from being a fan of UD...as a matter of fact I avoid them as much as possible. That being said, I really think they did a great job on the design of Masterpieces this year. The base cards are very nice, with the addition of unique player-specific photography (Desmond Howard Heisman Pose, Favre Raiders game) rather than just action shots from last season. Especially pleasing are the GU, which have a solid colored border (like Gridiron Kings in Threads), and a beautiful portrait like appearance.

Takes the pain out of getting a plain GU quite a bit when they look good!

I probably won't buy any of this, but I agree it looks pretty sweet!!

I think I will probably pick up a box as a Christmas gift to myself, I think it is a really nice looking card.

Yeah actually picked up a box from the UD Retail store in Huntington Beach, CA when they first came out. Not a big fan, the Capture on Canvas Auto was sick, but that was about it. The cards looked nice, but is that why we collect?
