When Topps first solicited 2012 Topps Tribute, they advertised Tribute to the Stars Autographs as being bonus hits on top of the guaranteed autograph or memorabilia card promised in every pack. It turns out they didn't pack out this way.

Topps has acknowledged the packaging error and, to rectify the situation, they are offering collectors who pull one of the signature cards a free pack of 2011 Bowman Sterling Baseball. These packs contain two autographs and one relic card.

In order to get the Bowman Sterling pack, collectors must mail their Tribute to the Stars Autographs to:

The Topps Company
Sports & Entertainment
Attn: Customer Support – 6th Floor
1 Whitehall Street
New York, New York 10004-2109

Each card can only be submitted once. Serial numbers will be recorded to prevent duplicate submissions of the same card. Tribute to the Stars cards will be returned with the free pack.

The offer expires March 9, 2013.

Wow, that would stink to have to mail in a hit to get a free pack. Guess they are betting a lot of people won't do it because of fear of not getting the original hit back or getting it back timely.
