I recall checking that out some months back. It is based in Canada if I recall. That had some kind of effect on it I think.

I also seem to recall to do some of the stuff or to start using it you need to download their program. This will turn some people off.

Maybe I'm wrong, as I said it has been a while since I checked it out. It might have changed since then.

I don't recall a separate thread but on a post (#6084) about 2 pages back there was a mention:http://www.tradingcardcentral.com/forums/i...c=4898&st=6080#

Power is still spotty here. No internet or cable. (using my inlaws)

Just today i saw NO meat, dairy, bread, produce or frozen products at walmart or winndixie.

Feeling blessed nonetheless. If the eye would have hit us... We'd be screwed.

Glad the people are OK. Spotty power can be restored eventually.

I'm out of the loop a bit but I've heard ppl moving to flickr.. Photobucket in the dumps nowadays?

Photobucket nixed their free third party linking. You can still use PB and load pictures there, view buckets of others (on PBucket) but any outside links they toss up a generic image (you might have seen around on the forum) that shows what looks like a speedometer that says something about Photobucket no longer allowing third party linking. They are trying to "encourage" their members to pay some monthly fee to continue to be able to show off their own photos. More corporate greed. Of course that means they have turned off most of their regular members to start off with.

Catchers

Sorry Mickey you may have named a future candidate in Mantle but there have been at least 3 backstoppers that were overlooked even back in 1972

Yogi berra
Roy Campanella
Johnny Bench
Campy had a shortened career
Berra won all those championships 10 of them

but johnny bench had 2 championships and in my opinion is the greatest all time
*

The Bench vs Berra debate still goes on. A few years back I read a Biography on Berra and it mentioned the fact that whenever the question of "Who is the greatest catcher of all time" comes up it is almost always Berra vs. Bench.

Well they did limit it to just 15 cards/14players (Ruth is in the set twice?) so right there they were shooting themselves in the foot.

Bench at the time was still playing so the question is do you include a current player in an all-time greats set?

I wonder what their criteria for consideration to be included in the set was? One might have been only retired players. Did they restrict it to HOFers?

I have seen a few scenes of a Matt Helm movie. Most likely out of context on some sort of Dean Martin tribute special. Haven't seen Moore's.

I think Brosnan had he played Bond at the time he was doing Remington Steele, or just after would have been better than he was some 10-20 years later when he actually did do Bond.

Side note: I was trying to upload my pics off my new Flickr account (my Photobucket stopped working) and I don't know if I did it right so let me know if you can view the pics..........and also, how do I upload them so the pics show up on the thread?
*

When posting a pic to the site first do some pre-selection by going to where the image is in your flickr album (you might have to view the image in a separate tab/window full size. Cut & Paste the image. Usually right clicking the image and selecting "copy link address" is what you need to do. Then go back to the TCC thread you are posting on. Click the "img" code button/tag above your posting text window. A pop-up window will open asking for the url of your image. Click on where you see the "http://" then highlight that or just backspace delete it, and type "ctrl" + "v" the web address for the pic (the url) should now be showing and click OK.
