Mike, no I have not. But I shouldn't need to read a book to get the story unless they are giving me a copy of the book with my ticket. I saw Twilight, and I never needed the book to follow along. This was just a joke. Even though it was hard to understand, what made me more mad was the fact that it was so drawn out. It was 3 hours long and the story could have been told in about an hour and a half.

laugh.gif That is not what I was implying John, I have two buddies who agree with your "review" but for a different reason... they did read the GN and felt the movie paled in comparison.... so I wondered if you hated the movie because of comparing it to the GN or if you just hated it.... laugh.gif

No, just hated it. laugh.gif

I wasn't even expecting much out of it, but it didn't even meet my low standards.

My next door neighbor ladies saw it last nigt with their high schooler son grandson. Ladies Hated it, high schooler loved it!....Glad I still have the mind of a high schooler! biggrin.gif

I loved it but I am a huge fan of Alan Moore. I can understand why some people that have never read comics would not like this movie.

I saw it last night .
I didn't read the graphic novel before but surely will .
I loved it , the 2h40 wasn't a problem it was much needed for the comprehension of the story ( the uchrony thing notably ).
I must say that it's pretty violent ( graphically and in the ideas )more than 300 in my opinion .
I'm a big superhero fan and must say that at first i was confused by the all attitude of the heroes...but loved it.
and to finish about the TWILIGHT thing u don't need to read the book to understand it because the story is so weak rolleyes.gif !!!!

I would not suggest watching this unless you have read the book. The movie cannot be appreciated without first reading the story. The movie does not do the book justice solely because of time constraints. It would take a few movies to portray the whole book. Personally, I liked it.
