Welcome back to the Hobby Group Break as we get back to breaking after a couple months off. In the middle of our 4th year together I think we needed the break! Some talk of alternating months between this and the High End group and while that is still a possibility I am bringing back both this month and we'll see where to go. After the break we may have some owners changing or dropping teams so please let me know as soon as possible so I can keep the list accurate.

By the way, I have received a request for the Broncos in this group if you decide to drop them too but hopes are that you stick with us to grow that Tebow obsession. Just doesn't have the same ring as Jerry, Jerry, Jerry though.

2006 Contenders- for the price you can buy one of the big rookies
2010 Plates & Patches- this might be one of the worst products ever, full of redemptions and for something that is called plates and patches it sure does have a lot of 1 color jerseys.

I like Plates & Patches and while I admit it's redemption heavy I think it's got the potential for some nice stuff and with the number of hits it equates to Limited which we often have in the mix. Contenders was just a cheap deal where I picked up a couple boxes because it was too good to pass up. This is the last of the boxes and at under $50 for the box I don't see much to replace it with. This should be the last appearance of any 06 product (except the possibility of an occassional 06NT box) and after next month I expect to retire 07 as well. I'd like the focus to try to remain on the last 3 years so even 08 will diminish to maybe an occassional stray box (if that).

I'm trying to cut back a little, so I will be staying in the high-end break, but I will be dropping out of this one...at least for a little while.

The Bears, Falcons and Ravens are available.
