I just got a Troy Aikman Rare Materials Quad Patch off the bay... I was and still kind of am in total shock of how THICK this card is! I had no idea!!! For me, I'm a perfectionist when it comes to a lot of things, and one of those things in my collection. I like to store my cards in new sleeves, new top loaders or new one touches... I have a stack of patch cards just in sleeves (well protected in a box) but it still drives me nuts because I don't have top loaders for them yet. Now, I'm trying to figure out, what in the heck do I do with this Troy Aikman!!!! It's a nice card, but overly thick... I think excessively thick! There's about a 1/4" depth on the top two patch windows from the top of the card to the actual patch it self...WHY?

It's ridiculous isn't it?

I've got a couple of those Exquisite cards and the only way I can store them safely is in a snap tight (which I hate using).

These things are chubby for sure! I have sold a couple Eric Berry's and a Montario Hardesty. The ones I had contained 2 helmet pieces on top and 2 jersey swatches on the bottom. Helmet pieces are typically thicker, which may somewhat explain the design.

Yes Steve, we know you're a Diamond Club member and UD is perfect! What's the new "technology"? Seems to me, in years past, the thicker the card the more prone it is to factory defects like chipping edges and soft corners...caused from the cutting machines I would assume. Just like this aikman, on the top left corner.
