I have been playing Baseball Mogul 2007 for a couple of months now. This is the best version of all. I've recently started the Yankees at 1903 and am currently in 1923. It' s a real kick seeing names like Wagner, C.Young, TF Brown playing--and being able to trade for them. I also drafted Cobb and Speaker and had them in the same outfield. The real kick was to draft Ruth, nurture him along--he's now the core of my team. The have an section that keeps track of the all time records, and Ruth is going for the career homer title--but Sherry McGee holds the record with 751!

Anyway, this is a game that allows you to take todays teams and go from there. Or to take any team at any time and play them. The rosters are accurate. You control the line up and determine how to keep the money flowing in--you pay salaries, set ticket prices, concessions, pay for scouting, medical staff and the farm system. You can trade or sell your players. It is very well done and quite deep and detailed. You can play at four levels, with mogul being the highest. I love the game. Considering it only costs $20, it's a great buy. does anybody else play it????

I also have spent hours and hours playing SOM with dice and cards. I still drag that out every now and again and play the '78 Yanks and Red Sox again. I love that game! Anyone else play it?

Is that a video game, card game or board game? I'm curious to check it out.

Thanks,
DJ

It's a sim. Computer software. Google "Baseball Mogul 2007" and you will get to it's home page. The developer started it in 2000 I think and has put out a new one every year. And this one is the best. you can play game by game in any year with any team. Or you can play purely as a GM with the ability to set the daily lineup. I've been on a kick of starting teams from the beginning of that franchise. For example I just finished with the '62 Mets. Played them until the year 2005. It is fun to watch players you draft develop and become stars on your team--and then become too expensive to keep. smile.gif
Anyway, do check it out.

I think I've heard of this game. It's been around a while hasn't it? It would be something I would like to play. smile.gif

Go to the download games section and you can download the 2006 version for free. That will give you a good idea of what 2007 is like. I liked 2006 alot--but 2007 is even better. So if you play 2006 and like it, 2007 is only $20. I think some Wal Marts carry it--and some EB Games, as well.
