Went after the Marlins past couple days, finally had a couple nice days. Monday I went for them and it was a quantity over quality type of day, but still some quality. Added McGehee, Carter Capps, Andre Rienzo, Cosart, Bryan Morris, Donovan Solano, manager Dan Jennings, Justin Nicolino, Jeff Mathis & A.J. Ramos to this year's 8x10 Dee Gordon 8x10 Cosart 1/1 Mike Dunn 2/2 Coach Brett Butler 2/2 Capps 1/1 Ramos on 2014 8x10 Stanton on 2012 8x10 Broadcaster Preston Wilson 1/2 20 on total for the day. One of my best baseball totals and in general as of late. I could've gotten even more if I remembered better who I needed on last year's item. Coach Lenny Harris didn't feel like signing for us, "I'll (or you'll) be here all week." Ozuna actually did end up signing one after being broken down in Spanish and Fernandez wouldn't sign but eventually did. 2 teens ran several blocks to finally get him. Few we couldn't recognize and didn't see Ichiro or Martin Prado. I almost was unable to get Stanton, him and Ramos both came out and I went after A.J. first. Luckily Stanton wasn't rushing much and was signing for all. Pretty remarkable that I've been able to get him 3 of my last 4 times at the hotel since last season. And I also finally got a pic with Hall of Fame broadcaster and fellow Cuban Felo Ramirez. Tuesday I had tickets to the game and went after the Mets early. I decided to show up late, and good thing I did because barely anyone signed prior to getting there. Only got one person: Curtis Granderson to 2015 8x10 I missed Parnell and I think Matz. First player for me this season, photo is looking pretty poor after 2 tries. Inside I did end up getting a few Marlins. Everyone around started a chant for Ichiro and boom, he eventually came over. He said "One per person and no eBay." ICHIRO SP ROMLB Scott McGough and Justin Bour on 2015 8x10 Questioned myself if I needed Bour on last year's also, turns out I did lol. But thank God Ichiro. A sharpie side panel but I'll take it, he ran with a sharpie. Very rarely do I manage to get 3 autos inside Citi. Not sure what's next for me. Chance that I go after Jessie Armstead at a signing Saturday like last week, except it's like an hour away. Next week maybe go for the Mets or Braves, no idea. Thanks for reading.

Well this past weekend was up in the air. Mets had their final home series and the Marlins happened to be in Philly for their final series. I wanted to try to catch a game in each venue but weather changed things. I ended up just going to the finale in Philly, even though it was more important for me to graph at Citi. Inside all I got was Chad Billingsley on 2 cards. There was no BP because they played a doubleheader but a few Phillies were out signing. Ichiro came out to warmup but unfortunately he never came over. At least it wasn't as crowded as at Citi few weeks ago. I did get a ball too, made a nice catch. I don't need no stinking glove. And at one point when I went to get a drink, a foul ball came a couple feet away from me lol. After the game I came close to getting a Marlins cap and some batting gloves. Ryan Howard actually came over to the Marlins dugout to throw his cap, jersey etc to us, I didn't really have a shot. But wow Citizens Bank is better than Citi in almost every aspect. After the game I decided to wait around for players as they left. J.T. Realmuto on 2014 Marlins 8x10 Broadcaster Preston Wilson 1/1 Adam Loewen 2/2 Pretty interesting game. Some hawk fell onto foul territory during the game and Ichiro made an appearance on the mound. As both teams were departing, I was unable to get Brett Butler, Kyle Barraclaugh & Derek Dietrich. I forgot I needed Bryan Morris on the 2014 and I couldn't get Lenny Harris's attention. From Philly I was close to getting Chase D'Arnaud and Aaron Nola. Will have to see what's next. Could graph this weekend, few former NY Giants in the area. Thanks for reading.

Thanks Peter. Yesterday I went to another one of those Giants signings. I chose to go for O.J. Anderson. I met him 3 years ago but this time I had something better. O.J. Anderson 8x10 He was really pleased to see a pic of him from The U. He wrote that on his own. Also got him to sign one of the blanks for a friend. Out of the people in front of me, I had probably the fewest things for him to sign lol. Then last night I went to see a couple of former NJ Devils. Colin White 2/2 Grant Marshall 2/2 Very nice guys. Will have to see what's next. Thanks for reading.

Peter do you mean like arenas/stadiums and hotels? QUOTE(jaderock @ Oct 22 2015, 10:48 PM) As a autograph seeker...what events are best and which are the worst? What is your favorite in person "hit"? I went to a signing on Saturday for an ex-Giant running back. Rodney Hampton 2/2 Very nice guy. Up next I may do the Devils tom night postgame. Thanks for reading.

Well it varies by location. Of course a player would be more willing to sign at the stadium (not necessarily during BP) rather than the hotel. Baseball is a free-for-all. Players may take their bus to the stadium or take a cab. At times even want to take the subway. Back to how it varies by location, it depends on the layout of the stadium. The busing area (that is if you even have access to it) could be close to the player entrances (players that arrive by taxi or towncar) or could be far off. It's bad in Citi Field's case, completely on the other side. Best bet is doing the hotel, you can see everybody for the most part. But some players may refuse signing there. Even now a few teams have refused signing at the hotels - the Orioles, Giants and Blue Jays as far as I know. I'd have to say basketball is probably the best to graph overall, this is based on the graphing you can do outside the arena and in. I guess you can call that the stationary graphing haha, especially in the arena. There's only one small area that you need to stay in. Hockey players are probably the friendliest and football players can be pretty cool too. But when graphing hockey, players have more of a tendency to be in small groups when boarding the bus. But as I said in the beginning, it really comes down to the layout of the stadium/arena.
As for my favorite IP hit...that's tough to say. There's favorite but doesn't mean it's best. It could be Clayton Kershaw, Ichiro, Durant or Jagr. It's tough to say. Few stories were notable, some not. I've gotten some fantastic players but most don't have much of a story to them.

Well I was going to do this update sometime during Thanksgiving weekend but completely forgot, and continued to lol. I graphed after the Blue Jackets/Devils game back on Weds. Nothing special. Nick Foligno 2/2 Stephen Gionta on this year's item Andy Greene on 13/14 team item & card There were a few people there for Columbus. Hartnell didn't come over to sign. Later I was able to get Foligno. Could've gotten Tortorella if I printed for him. Up next for me I could do the Blues Friday and the Devils have a game that night too. Thanks for reading.
