So, we're down to 65 college basketball teams and the madness is about to begin. There's really nothing better in sports!
Click here to see the brackets.
My team, the UC Bearcats, are a 7 seed playing Iowa on Thursday for the chance to likely play Kentucky on Saturday. UC-Kentucky in the 2nd round...
In my opinion, Louisville has the biggest gripe with this year's brackets. Not sure how a team that is 29-4 (18-1 in the last 19), winning both the regular-season and conference-tournament C-USA championships, ends up a 4 seed?
So, where did your team end up?

My team ended up at home.
Yes, that's right...I'm a Buckeye fan.
In my opinion, what hurt Lousville is their lack for a strong schedule. Some of it they have no control over as the Conf. USA was fairly weak this year.
Though the games were close they did lose to Iowa and Kentucky while struggling to beat Florida, UAB (twice) and Cincinnati. That said, with those games, if they're in the ACC, they get a #1 or #2 seed.
Some of it too involves the committee trying to get people to play as close to home early as they can so sometimes teams get moved.
I think this years tourney is going to be very difficult to predict. Clealy Illinois, Wake Forest (If Paul isn't nutting around) and North Carolina are the clear favorites. But this year is ripe for one of those smaller schools to make a huge run.
Another thing to keep in mind about Louisville. First, their bracket is the weakest (in my opinion) of the four. Now...think back to 1999. There was another team that was rated number 4. That team went on to advance to the final four before losing a close game to eventual champ Uconn.
SO, if we went by 1999 standards we'd say the final four would be Illinois, North Carolina, Louisville and Duke with Duke and Illinois in the final and Duke winning it all. But since I can't stand Duke and since I think their depth will be an issue, I'll say that definately WON'T happen.
