Baseball Cards...
Collection Additions and such.

My favorite place to get cards is Target. There isn't a hobby store near where I live, so Target is fine with me.

Topps Opening Day pack, 6 cards (plus gum biggrin.gif).

Cards
Carlos Delgado #35
Carlos Beltran #47
Carlos Lee #89
Chien-Ming Wang #45
C.C. Sabathia #23

And the Big One
Dontrelle Willis Diamond Star

Opening Day cards are my favorite, not only because they're cheap but they have the Opening Day logo and are a different color than the Series 1/2 cards.

Went to Target today, yet again, and bought a pack of Topps #2. I'm a big fan of this years card look. When I bought some series 1 packs back in April or May, I hated them. I have grown to like them now and I can't wait for Updates and Highlights to come out.

Now... to the cards.

Topps Series Two! $1.99, 12 cards including inserts. Packs with relics contain 10 cards (I won't have to worry about that).

Rookies
Angel Sanchez #645

Base Cards
Akinori Otsuka #506
David DeJesus #541
Christian Guzman #367
Tim Hudson #365
Ramon Hernandez #378
Jason Tyner #358
Wandy Rodriguez #486
Paul Byrd #528
Ramon Martinez #553

Inserts
Winston Churchill - Distinguished Service
Terry Francona - 56 Years of Collecting - Gold (#'d 1107/2007)

This pack had a lot of cards in the high 300's. The Churchill is a great looking card, so is the Francona.

I got this a few days ago and forgot to post about it! I did some work for my dad pulling nails out of boards at $.50 a board. I ended up with 10 bucks and went to Target to get me some shiny cardboard!

The Details
10 packs plus one extra 3-card pack of Ted Williams cards. $9.99 cents, plus tax. Odds of getting Auto/GU: not that good. 6 cards per pack.

Notes
I think it's funny that I got a Clemens on the Astros. That means that in the Updates and Highlights set, it'll have him on the Yankees! Two teams in one year for a guy who didn't even come into the league until the end of May.

The reason you don't see a whole bunch of cards is because I had to give my little brother, who helped with the work, his share from MY BOX!

Oh well.

Another stop at Target after a long collecting rest period, and I decided to try out a new product. I don't usually spring for the Upper Deck things as I prefer to stay with Topps, but the design attracted me to buy a pack.

The Details
One pack, Upper Deck Goudey baseball = 2.99 plus 21 cents tax.

8 cards, 1:24 packs odds of finding memorabilia card.

The Cards
Manny Ramirez
David Wright
Robinson Cano
Chone Figgins
Matt Cain
Ben Sheets
Adam Dunn
Rafael Furcal

Notes
I like the cards! They're great looking and they're small. I noticed on the back of some of the cards the text is green and on the others the back is red. I would like to explore this further.
