So I purchased an Adrian Peterson Graded (GMA 10) card on ebay. I got it for .68 and 2 shipping. Great deal right? Well 2 weeks later, the guy hasn't shipped. I ask him and he says he forgot and will get it in the mail asap. Another week goes by before he "puts it in the mail". Another week goes by and the tracking number is still showing notta???? At this point I filed an ebay claim. The guy tells me that he forgot again and will resend and give me a refund. At this point I was just going to let it be and not leave feedback at all. No harm no foul.


But wait for it..........


2 weeks later, I get my GMA 10 Adrian Peterson card: BROKEN. The is a huge crack down the back left corner and a large chunk of the case is missing. Its not in the mailer that was completely sealed? His response? Postal Damage! The card is bent, the case it broken with a chip completely missing and not in the sealed mailer, but its postal damage? So I leave him neutral feedback instead of negative because I really hate leaving negative feedback. The guy messages me saying that I am a jerk and he is going to tell all of his customers to block me because he did all he could to make me happy and I am just looking for reasons to complain?

Oh did I mention that this guy has an Ebay with 100% Positive Feeback and almost 6k Feedback Score? I didn't want to ruin his 100%. This is what I said

Took forever, Had to file claim, Recieved Refund, then Card Came in....>DAMAGED

I wasn't hateful or demeaning. Just honest and to the point.



Sorry, I just needed to rant. I could have been a total jerk and left negative feeback and ruined his 100% but instead I helped him maintain it and he is going to slander me?

Those beckett cases do have a tendency to crack and break in mail

I always wrpa mine in paper before inserting into bubble mailer as I have shipped to folks and have them crack before i learned the trick

Dont feel bad. I won a clowney auto for $9 yesterday and right after the auction i get a message saying the guy is canceling the sale because he "cant find the card". A popular 2 word phrase starting with BULL came to mind.

Nothing is more annoying than ebay sellers who take their time shipping. Some note it up front, but I had others I had to contact, however none this bad. That or the $3 shipping for a PWE, really?

I would consider leaving a negative. Sounds like he made NO attempt to make it right, which is the only thing I look for a seller to do.

While we're ranting, I can't stand people who take their sweet time PAYING for a card they bought off me. If you go into a card shop and pick a card you wish to buy, you don't go home, wait 5 days, and THEN pay. You pay up front, immediately! Why do so many people take ages to click that Paypal SEND button?!

So wait his doing ALL he could do to MAKE YOU HAPPY is WAITING A MONTH BEFORE SHIPPING? And then packaged poorly enough for the card to be damaged?

I don't think it was damaged in the Mail. I think he knew it was broken. There was a chunk of plastic missing and it wasn't in the package. The package was sealed tight so there is no way it fell out. And he packaged it fairly well in a bubble mailer. I am certain it was damaged before he shipped

If the piece wasnt in the mailer than its 100% that he sent u a broke card.

That's crazy. I have been very lucky with my eBay experiences (knock on wood) to date.

And I've also noticed some people will wait days and days and days to pay. I'm paying within MINUTES. I want my stuff!!

same here. If I bid, its because I have the money in hand and I pay within a few hours of it ending. Usually sooner if I am around a computer.

Yeah does sound like he sent it fully broken.

I only bid if I have the money in Paypal (my preferred way to pay now-days even with forum sales). I usually pay the day the auction ends, unless I'm getting a BIN so I buy it as I check out. For the auctions I usually wait a few hours to get an official invoice. If I am getting more than one auction or item from a seller I will reply to the automatic invoice that Ebay sends and ask for an updated invoice. Hoping to get some kind of a decent combined shipping price.

I think we have already mentioned the bozo sellers who charge $2 or more for shipping and then send in a PWE at the cost of a single .49¢ stamp

postal damage my butt... The guy either doesn't know how to pack it or was too cheap to do the right thing. Pack the card how you want it some one to do for you. I don't see a problem with that neutral you big bully..lol nah just kidding about the bully.

Negative feedback is deserved. Poor service, poor product.... what's there to question? No shame for guilt in being honest regardless of his past ebay history.
