Collector Zone _ News and Announcements _ Brian (northicehero99) resigns as CZT Manager

Posted by: RGBII May 22 2010, 10:40 AM

Brian (northicehero99) has resigned as Collector Zone
Co-Manager and Team Member effective May 19, 2010.

Brian had a very nasty scare on Monday, May 17th. He
had chest pains (family history here) and was so concerned
that he went to the hospital. He was admitted and tested
until Wednesday, the 19th. The doctors are convinced that
it is not his heart. Obviously, more testing is required to
determine the cause.

The experience has led Brian to the decision to leave
the TCC team.

Brian has been a member of Trading Card Central since
April 4, 2005, 50 days after the initiation of the site. He
became a Team Member on August 14, 2005 and has been
a tireless, fair and even-handed arbiter over this span of time.
He has an amazing 1,157 completed transactions and over
29,000 posts. He was voted Trader of the Year in 2007
and 2008. He has 4 Trader of the Month titles around his
waist as well.

Brian has assured me that he will stop by the site and
contribute. At this point, he has not decided how
frequent that will be.

It will be impossible to adequately fill Brian's shoes. His
knowledge, skill as a moderator and sense of duty will
be sorely missed by everyone on the CZT.

I write this announcement with much trepidation and
angst. It was my fortune and honor to learn from one
of the sites finest and original members.

Please, take the time to thank Brian (northicehero99) for his
dedication, direction and tireless efforts that have made
Trading Card Central the fine community that it is. The void
left by his absence is vast.

We wish you well, Brian.

Thanks for the comments.

Kirk, I am feeling somewhat better, still a little sore but getting back to normal. Have some more tests I need to get through, to rule out some other items, but overall a lot better than I was last week. Thanks for asking.

Brian,
Thank you for all your contributions to TCC! You leave behind some very big shoes......or skates......to fill. Anyone that wants to know how to conduct themselves and be an asset to this site should just simply follow your example. I hope you are feeling much better. Stop by every chance you get!

Brian, Take care and get well. Hope to see you back soon. When I came here in January of 2008 I had so many questions, and you answered most for me or commented on the questions. Your work here has been very much appreciated! My thoughts and prayers go out to you in your difficult times.

Yes the "age is a state of mind" only carries you so far, and then the body reminds you about it wink.gif laugh.gif but I worked in a Lumber Mill for 10 years so maybe I'm ahead of the curve on that part of the body reminding you of your past. Home taking care of my wife, always thought it would be cool to retire at 50 but after a year and a half starting to wonder how cool it really is to get to stay home all the time laugh.gif
