OK I read it wrong but still. I guess it is that one that is gold plated or at least one of those supposedly rare yellow border ones that isn't normally yellow bordered.

Back in the 90s when these things first came out some of them were fetching decent money. I pulled a Charizard and sold it for $50, dang maybe that was the card and now it is worth that much?!?! I remember some of the others fetching over a $100. Not sure why anyone would pay that much for it, but obviously more than just the rapper wanted it, if it got to $226K.

I do some trading card game collecting too. I had them as a kid and recently got back into this year since, in my opinion, the hockey card product offerings have been pretty weak. I've been amazed at the market out there for Pokemon, Magic, the Gathering, etc. With COVID, the market has really spiked just like the sports card market. This card was a first edition charizard in PSA 10 condition. Basically the holy grail for Pokemon. Logic is in his early 30's so I think a lot of people his age who now have the means to do so are buying up the stuff they always coveted as a kid. If I had the quarter million, I'm not sure I'd spend it on a Charizard, but it might be tempting... Lol. There are modern cards, just released, that fetch $500+ ungraded. Ive had fun trying to learn the market and realized there are a lot of people out there collecting Pokemon.

Weak hockey products, more like junk, when you own a monopoly you just don't give a ######, and yet people are sucking up these products. $90+ for an 8 pack box with one auto, most likely a whosit! is ridiculous and yet people are buying the crap up. Yeah, I am really disappointed with the products out there, no real return for the $ unless you are lucky IMO. Just about done collecting, still love S1 & S2, but even those are getting less enjoyable for the $.

I know my Charizard was not first edition, but I cannot believe someone would spend that kind of $ on it, it's not like its a HOF player that will be remembered forever, maybe it will be, I will probably not be around to find out.
