Two-time American League MVP and five-time American League All-Star Frank Thomas will be at Principal Park Tuesday, July 17 to sign autographs for fans. The former Chicago White Sox first baseman will sign balls and flats (ie pictures, cards, etc) with the purchase of a separate autograph ticket.

The Big Hurt will begin signing at 5:35 p.m. and certificates of authenticity will be on sale for $3.00 each. Due to time constraints no photos or inscriptions please. The signing will take place rain or shine. No refunds.

In 19 major league seasons spent with the Chicago White Sox, Toronto Blue Jays and Oakland Athletics, the right-handed slugger posted a career .301 batting average. The Auburn alum is one of only 12 players in the history of Major League Baseball to win back-to-back MVP awards (1993-94). The four-time Silver Slugger is tied with Ted Williams and Willie McCovey for 18th on the all-time home run list with 521 round trippers.

Thomas' name is cemented in the White Sox record books after 16 seasons with the club. The designated hitter and first baseman is first all-time for Chicago in home runs (448), RBI (1465), runs scored (1327), walks (1466), doubles (447), on-base percentage (.427), and slugging percentage (.568).

Autographs tickets are $30 each and allow for one autograph, but do not provide admission into the game. Only 800 tickets are being sold. Autographs tickets can be purchased in advanced at the ticket office or by phone at 515-243-6111.
