Package 3: A beauty sniped from Ebay for $15.50 Free Shipping. Snatched with 20 seconds to go. I was actually expecting it to go for much more but my winning bid was the 8th bid (I think my first bid was #6) A sketch card Print #d/5

I prefer real sketch cards but #d prints of some subjects are cool as well.

Now there was also a 1/5 sketch print of Frank Howard (with a nice red background but the image isn't as cool looking as the Harper for some reason, even though the red background is better than the multicolors on the Bryce. That is one thing I don't really like much about this artists choices is the backgrounds on many of the cards are too psychedelic in some cases) that I bid on with 45 seconds left with a high of $24.50 but I lost it in the last 10 seconds the winning bid #8 (again 8 bids) went for $26.75. Their max bid must have been much higher than that and one or two others were a little higher than my 24.5 bucks There is another of the Frank Howard # 2/5 I'm trying for...and bidding at the 10 second mark at $30.85 it GETS AWAY at $34.38. Oddly again 8 bids. Doesn't appear to be any shilling going on. Some might see my bids and think I am a shiller since I've been sniping the auctions. Sometimes sniping is the only way to win stuff. Looks like I won't be getting the Hondo from this artist. 3 more out there the seller who is also the artist will probably but the others up as he put these up. He does 5 print runs of each card and sells the five individually starting with 1/5 and working up to 5/5 it seems. Maybe I'll get one of the 3 remaining maybe not.

On Thursday 11 June 2015: Got a lone PWE from an unexpected source. A PWE from Jeff at 2x3 Heroes. Jeff packs his PWEs by putting the cards in plastic 3 pocket rows that were cut from 9 pocket plastic sheets. He puts 3 to 4 cards per pocket. This envelope had 3 cut rows, the postage was two forever stamps. The PWE survived it was pressed some but was not damaged.

Some days ago Jeff announced on his blog that he had some Hockey cards sorted by team ready to ship out in a thinning the herd type of cleaning and all you had to do was comment with your team. I noticed there was someone ahead of me who had claimed the Caps. I left a message about someone already claiming the Caps the only team I collect and Oh Well. I didn't think I would get anything... WRONG. Either Jeff had a ton of Caps or he divided what he had up. Anyway most are common base that range in year from 1989-90 to 2014-15 there are 26 cards all together ALL: "There are 26 cards."

On Monday 08 Jun 2015:
Single padded envelope from a sale from the Cardboard Connections Forum I got some Warehouse 13 cards from Rittenhouse some Autos and some Artifact "Snag it, Bag it, Tag it"cards. The artifact cards were $2/per and the Autos $6/per. I got a total of 12 cards so the grand total was $48 not bad considering some dealers try selling any autos for a minimum of $50 sometimes. These usually start for lower but still a few try to rip-off even on these minor guest stars (except for Genelle who was a series regular and Mark Sheppard who is a slightly bigger guest star)

1959 Topps Football 63 L.G. Dupre B'More Colts major off-center to left more like an on the edge miscut.
Had to ding the seller (whom I have bought from before) in feedback because the card was in a card "saver" with regular tape across the opening. The card was unharmed and was in a penny sleeve but the tape AND "saver" are NO-NOs. I gave Neutral feedback and to paraphrase what I said (I forget the exact wording) - "Tape AND Card "Saver" with Vintage card = Big NO-NO"

On Friday 05 Jun 2015: I got two small packages. Both from Ebay purchases/auctions

Package 1:
A lone card Non-Sport sweetie for $9.95 + $3.20 Shipping. A single nice condition 1953 R757-1 Comic Character Card "Sugar Daddy" series 29 The Dragon Lady from Terry And The Pirates. This was from a set of 50 cards where there are blank boxes that the collector was to fill in the blanks identifying the character and then after collecting 25 cards mailing the correctly identified cards in to the candy maker they would get a GIANT sized Sugar Daddy "lollypop". There is an identical second "series" R757-2 that has a "coupon" on the bottom of the card (similar to the tabs on the Red Man Tobacco cards). The coupon was for a beanie or set of beanie buttons.

I plan on getting the coupon version of this card (there is one on Ebay for like $25 I'd like to try to find it cheaper and maybe try for some of the other cards in the set. First getting the characters I like. I have my eye on an Indian character from the first series.

Package 2:
Also from Ebay purchase price $3.99 Free Shipping. Two 1975-76 Topps Basketball Scratch-Off Game cards Unscratched. I have the Football and Hockey editions of this style of scratch-off card from Topps. I don't think they made a baseball version of these generic game cards. They did make some scratch off cards for Baseball in the 60s and early 70s but a different style.

The seller tossed in a BONUS card Also from 1975: Curtain Associates a McDonald's "We do it all for You Quiz" scratch off card unscratched. I don't recall seeing these things.

Two package day today Tuesday 02 June 2015: UGH at my postal carrier for cramming stuff into my mailbox. They would have fit OK not crammed but the book part was a little bent out of shape at first, with some bending the other way the paperbound book will survive. Good thing it wasn't mint to begin with but also good thing it wasn't damaged beyond repair or my satisfaction. Big Sigh. Back to the package contents.

The bent out of shape book I got from Ebay for $9.19 w/Free Shipping. As stated it is a softbound book "paperback" if you will, except larger than standard pocket sized paperback novels. It is 5.5 x 8.5 Mint Condition subtitled "How Baseball Cards became a American Obsession" by Dave Jamieson I've seen a couple of card bloggers give it high marks and Kudos.

Next package was my goodies from a Baseball Group Box Break from TCZ by Ken aka: pwolantern. My bought homie team is my standard Nationals and I bought the Twins at a discount.
