Shad Gaspard of Cryme Time pulled out of his scheduled match last night at the WWE Smackdown taping, claiming illness right before he was scheduled to go to the ring.

Sources indicated that Gaspard claimed he was suffering from flu-like symptoms, including stomach pains. He was instructed to go get medical attention, leading to JTG taking his spot in the match, literally at the last minute. He was gone from the taping by the time the match was taped.

I do want to note that there were some in the company skeptical of Gaspard's illness after the taping as he "seemed fine" until it came time to tape his segment and he was seen at the hotel after the taping. The finish JTG ended up involved in last night was originally booked to involve Gaspard.

It will be interesting to see if there is any heat on Gaspard or Cryme Tyme going forward.

We was upset at being pulled from the PPV

He posted in his blog that he had become ill while in Mexico and had been vomiting with diarrhea. The WWE doc gave him a shot of Phernagan but it didn't work. He seemed legitimately upset that he couldn't perform so he may have been sick. I guess we will know how management felt about the situation if Cryme Tyme starts losing every match and is relegated to wrestling on the WWE Superstars show.....

Gaspard recently posted on his Twitter account......"Finally fully recovered from the swine flu" I guess he was really sick after all.
