I may try a box out, but it seems like DLP is relying on a ton on the RPM this year, or is just me?

It's not just you. They look nice, but there are boxes that have only RPMs as the hits. Not to mention a number of other rookie insert sets. They're nice, especially the jumbos, but I'm looking for veteran hits too. I wish they would guarantee a Tools of the Trade hit in every box.

Love this set, but with the base RPM's and the nobody RC auto's it usually only leaves you one or two chances at a big hit. So i just pick up the singles. First pickup for 08': Greg Jennings Tools of the trade dual patch/auto /25. $35 dlvd. Pricey but if I'd have pulled it in a box for $120 I'd have felt like I got my $'s worth. Try and explain that one blink.gif

Thats what makes box breaks so much fun. I only paid $25 for the one above. But, I agree, anymore pick up the singles you want, you will be further ahead.

RPM's fell 2 ber box on average in 2006 and 2007 also!
They are considered one of the highlights since they are numbered as part of the set and classed as true RC!

Absolute is easily the most addicting product of the season!

at $140 a box.. limited autos great patches, true RC that can be autod or GU or both..

Sick!

I bought two packs yesterday and now have to temper my enthusiasm!

Sorry one more comment!

The question you really have to ask yourself regarding Absolute is How good is this rookie class and is your collectible rookie part of the RPM or just part of the rookie checklist!

Thats very important information!

Anything that cost that much for only 4 packs of cards better have a guaranteed low numbered auto in every pack and be a rookie player that's still on a team, not undrafted, and be drafted no later than the 3rd round. Sterlings are pricey too, definitely not the worth the money spent. I bought a pack the other day and got a jersey card of a kicker! A KICKER! 45 bucks shot just like that! Well, that's my opinion on it.

For the value, I don't like it at all this year. Too many rookies and not enough superstars/HOFERS. Seems like that's what's Absolute is catering to since the 2004 products. People who like rookies.

But at least there are no guitar players or manufactured letter redemptions.
