The loss was LaRussa's fault. Not Holliday's. Franklin has been horrible down the stretch and showed it again early on in his outing tonight. He pitches to contact which is a risky proposition for a closer. His pitches were lifeless and he was lucky to even record the out he did. Holliday's error didn't even tie the game, there were another 4 batters that Franklin could have gotten out after the error. The loss was LaRussa's fault and his alone. That being said, I believe if the Cardinals win on Saturday they will win the series. While it is a short series and they are on the chopping block now, these games were alot more important for LA to win. The Cards absolutely need to pull out all the stops on Saturday though and then Carp and Waino for games 4 and 5 should do the trick.
