Hey everyone im new. Im trying to start collecting a player and i cant think of a good person to pick. Im looking for a player thats sort of not as known but is still a person that you can find cards for. I like challenges though.

Also i got a question about how to add a picture to your profile like when you post and then you go to the bottom of the person's post they have cool pictures at the bottom. Near the teams you like. How do you get them?

Far as person to collect, I think that is more up to you than what others think. Myself I collect former Oregon State University Football players in the NFL, and for Hockey my main focus in Mike Modano. Find someone you like from a team you like or go with a team or some other theme.
Not sure if you mean the banners some folks have down by the teams or just pictures in general (either one I'm not very proficient at that yet), there are folks here that know how to make them and might make one for you. There are topics around where questions like that have come up before. Or if you have any specific questions feel free to drop me or any other Team Member a PM (folks with the different color nics, well except the red ones as they are on some sort of restriction far as trading goes).

Start with your favorite team and pick someone that has either had a long career or will have a long career!

Welcome to TCC. Based on your Avatar I will take it you are a Flyers fan, so why not pick one of those guys like Mike Richards or Jeff Carter? Both are popular and have a decent amount of cards. Personally if I were to collect a certain player I would pick someone from my favorite team, but also find a reason why I want to collect that player. Maybe I heard he was involved with a great charity, etc or you met him and he was really nice to you, etc. Those are all good ways to find who you want to collect.

Ok, if anyone can tell me how to make a banner kinda like what you did northicehero999 it would be cool or even make one for me and tell me how to get it.

Welcome to the site. I started out as a player collector and it didn't stick. I'm now a team collector. There have been some really good suggestions about how to pick a player, but to pick a player and stick with him, Jaderock would be a great one to ask. There's several others on here that have some really amazing player collections as well.

I agree with KHarmon, I think it is a lot easier to collect a team. By no means am I saying you should collect a team, you should collect whatever you want. I like the challenge of finding cards from more members of the team then just the individual player. Good luck in whatever you decide fits your collecting preference!

It is HIGHLY recommended that you build up a trade rep before you start on a box break. Build trust and they will come. But trust comes with time. And since you don't take Paypal, you've eliminated about 90% of potential buyers.

actually i have paypal, but like it says it says will message with all of paying requirements...
