I kinda disagree that the 16-25 has little or no interest in vintage. basicly on the fact they will get older and views probably will change. I was the same way. Then I evolved a bit wondering...what was before John Elway, Orange Crush, etc. Now I just concentrate on stuff before my time. It's old, but fresh to me... if that makes any sense.

If you are going high-end vintage (without some sort of return guarantee) then yes, go the graded route. But like the others said, If you got a few common vintage to compare to, you should be fine. A $10 T206 common is worth it's weight in gold.

Buy a cheap handheld black light also (reprints will jump out at you in color under it). They go for $10 -30.

Also a 60x-100x handheld microscope is a big help . About $15-45. Look at the paper fibers, print, etc.

after inspection, you can make a pretty diffinative judgement. And if you got some leverage beforehand you can get back to them with some solid info for a return.

If it is the real deal, and you do your homework, you can get some GREAT bargains due to the speculations you just mentioned....

Anyone have an idea what these big posters go for? I unloaded one years ago for $35 in trade. And haven't got a clue if it was fair for either one of us. I now have someone else interested in all of the rest I have. Quick google doesn't help much. Just want both of us to be satisfied...

I never had a booth. I always seemed to witness what the dealers had to contend with (all of thee above) so it took the wind out me when it crossed my mind. It seemed back then everyone had a little but of eveything (not sure if that was good or bad) unlike today where tables are VERY specific...

I liked haggling, but the let the dealer do it. I.E. "I've seen you go by my table 3 times looking at that bronco card, take half-off and it's yours". You could always walk away. The dealers were unfortunatley stuck in the same 8X8 spot with a schmuck to contend with
