An interesting read. Anyone have an iPad or iPhone and try out the apps?

QUOTE
One of the new apps—Topps Bunt, available on the iPad— allows you to collect virtual cards, each assigned a point value depending on the player’s performance, and play fantasy baseball against friends and online neighbors.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Topps Bunt somewhat similar to eTopps?

yes Bunt does sound a bit like eTopps except it doesn't mention if they will print up any physical cards for you to order for shipping to you. It also adds the Fantasy Baseball thing to it.

The Pennant thing just seems like a glorified stats database.

This reminds me whatever happened to those Holograpic video card things they were supposedly going to have a few years back? Guess those bombed faster than they could even start to produce them.
