Welcome back to the High End FB Group Break as we get back to breaking after a couple months off. In the middle of our 4th year together I think we needed the break! Some talk of alternating months between this and the Hobby group and while that is still a possibility I am bringing back both this month and we'll see where to go. After the break we may have some owners changing or dropping teams so please let me know as soon as possible so I can keep the list accurate.

It shouldn't be the same as 5-star or Exquisite....from what I can tell, it is really focused towards the 2011 rookie class.

I haven't seen a checklist but I believe this to be true. Keep in mind the 2011 product will only be about 1/6 of our budget.

I am looking for a POSSIBLE back-up buyer for the Bengals. I haven't been able to reach 19th Century and he hadn't been on the site in over a month so they may be available. Wouldn't be able to confirm until the payment deadline.

I like Inception as a filler, the limited checklist is a drawback but as a 1 time thing i'd like to see it.


For next month can we do 09+10 National Treasure cases with timeless treasures as the filler?

Payment has been scheduled through bank...should arrive in 5 business days.

Question...since 2010 Exquisite is college base product, is team determined by who player was drafted by or by current team? As an example, Jason Campbell (who has some autos in this) was drafted in 2005 by Washington but moved to Oakland for 2010 season and currently resides there. I primarily think of him as a Redskin, but the Raiders owner may think differently. It should probably be clarified before the break.

Yep, for any college based card that is pulled, if the player he goes to the team he was with for the year of the product (in other words in this case the card would go to the team that player was on at the end of the 2010 season. If it's of a retired player it goes to the team he played with the longest.

Hey guys...we are past the payment deadline and I am still waiting on payments from most of you. I know the lack of paypal as an option is a hassle but please plan for payment well in advance of the deadline as the processing time can take a week to get to me. I'm hopefull we can still hold the break as scheduled next weekend as the cases have been ordered!

On another note, I never heard back from Prophecy Guy so I have awarded his team (Lions) to Yzerisdaman who had been asking me about them. His teams in the Hobby break have been awarded to BobKoning and KPit1978 respectively. Hopefully when Vaden gets back in the game we can welcome him back.

Hey guys, with the delay in payments this month we are getting a late start on the silent bids so I'm going to do a quick 1 day auction and we'll bump this break back to Sunday night. Bidding may begin immediately with the min bid amount of $35 for any of the unclaimed teams and bid increments will be accepted of $1. I'll check on the redemption...I don't believe it has a card # on it which the problem. I think we'll most likely have to randomize it unless folks want to see it redeemed and sent to the team owner?

I didn't list the rookies but if I recall it was DeMarco Murray, Titus Young, and I can't remember the 3rd?

Anyway, I've seen better but the 8 patches are nice and the Mike Williams is pretty nice as is the Kelly of course. Other good ones spread around but we've definitely had better. Thanks again to all for participating and for those that still owe funds on this one please get those in as soon as possible so I can send these out. Have a good night all!

Thanks for the break Chris. I continue to wear my Bradford repellant, but at least I got some nice hits with the Seahawks to save my break. My only question is...how the heck does a logo patch auto come out #'d to 225? No wonder everyone thinks all the nice patches are doctored.

Some decent hits tonight....very nice 1/1 Kelly and some nice patches.

Gregg Cacioppo: We changed up the way we redeem some of these hard-signed cards for 2010 Exquisite Football to eliminate situations where customers are waiting on particular athletes to sign their cards for years. We produced less redemption cards so we could cut ties with players who are not signing in an expeditious fashion for us and begin fulfilling for collectors from the pool of cards we have received in. We now have enough cards in for some groups from the Exquisite Football product that we can begin fulfilling them.

These cards will be shipped to collectors at random so those who redeemed them will not know which cards they will get until that envelope arrives at their door; kind of like opening a pack. We can however share a listing of some of the players available so collectors have a better idea of what to expect. Among the players we are currently sending out, collectors may find signatures from Ronnie Brown, Tony Romo, Ben Tate, Bo Jackson, Mark Sanchez, Matt Ryan, C.J. Spiller, Jahvid Best, Ryan Matthews, Bernie Kosar, John Capelletti, Charles White, Dan Marino, George Rogers, Jack Ham and Garrett Graham.

I liked inception as a 1 time filler, but would definitely never want to see it again.

Panini had a cool behind the scenes video of the jerseys they are using for timeless football and how they are using game dated jerseys and photos from the day the jersey was used on the cards, it sounded pretty neat. Who knows what they will look like but I would like to see it as filler next month for sure. Here is the video:

I would vote for cases of 09NT and 10NT and if we have any extra I'd vote for Timeless Treasures as our filler as I'd like to continue getting 2011 products in there even just as a filler until the big daddy's come out.

As for the redemption, with them saying that they have supply in stock to redeem in quick order, I would lean towards redeeming and receiving so it can get sent out to the rightful owner. If folks would rather see it randomed I can live with that as well but that's my .02.

My vote is for CHris to redeem it and it goes to the correct team owner. I hope it is an Eli Manning Auto though. I would rather see a case of 08 UD Premier than 2010 Exquisite again.

And I think 2008 Premier is Garbage and Redemptions are dicey going before 2009 now.

I'm not a big fan of the college uniform products, but I think 10 Exquisite does a pretty nice job of them.

The biggest negative about it is (typical of Upper Deck) the large amount of redemptions in it. I was in a different group break last week with a case of it, and every box in the case had a redemption UGH!!. However, only one of the redemptions was a TBD...the others contained the card #, so we were able to figure out who it was supposed to be.

All in all...not a bad product, but I haven't seen a lot of WOW factor come out of it.

I agree the Redemptions is a PITA, I have not seen much wow since I got a Bradford to 5 Auto Patch from another Board Break.

The Kelly is nice and I think its a product that spreads the wealth better than a lot of other products and offers a nice consistent alternative to NT. Plus, the Rookie Class is still fresh and newer which is nice unlike the 08-09 products

I think it's the right way to do it...hopefully it doesn't take too long to redeem.

I really wonder why they didnt put a name on it? There has to be a reason- maybe they are waiting to see how many they have to make and will pay the cheapest guy, or maybe they are sick of people complaining about waiting to long so this way you cant complain when they cant get it made.

when you type it in let us know what it says , i'm really curious about how they handle it.



Yeah repeat dallas clark autos , a miss-signed book and that ridiculous TBD auto certinly did not bring the wow factor. I really dont like how small the window is on the rookies.

But it does have a respectable checklist and the quad relics in the jumbo card are pretty neat, the /10 with prime college logo and helmet
