I have this Mitchell & Ness Gaylord Perry Texas Rangers 1976 Home Jersey. Size is 5x and has hardly been worn at all. Looking to trade for something nice of St. Louis Cardinals memorabilia or cards. Oscar Taveras, Legends and maybe current players. Just seeing what I can get Taveras is definately a plus. Thanks

Man, I would love to get it, but I don't have anything really to trade you. What kind of value are you looking to get out of it?

Well it's about $300 new so probably about $200-250 in trade and I would sell for around $100. I've seen less home versions than the gray versions. Will also consider best offers as well but would work a little more for Oscar Taveras or a nice Bryce Harper even.

I also have a Brett Favre Green Bay Packers Reebok authentics jersey with sewn on patches as well if that attracts more people, let me know if anyone would like to see a picture of that, too.

I'm going to pass. I have some concerns about the authenticity of yours. I'm not questioning you specifically, but based on some research I'm not convinced yours is an authentic replica.

For example, while the pictures are blurry, it doesn't appear to have the button collar that the 1976 home jerseys had. It doesn't have the dark blue shading around the lettering on the front, and doesn't have the white Ranger "badge" on the base of the "R" on the front.

For reference, here is a picture of an authentic replica autographed by Perry for sale:

Notice the differences I highlighted above between yours and this one.

Again, notice how the one Perry is wearing is identical to the Mitchell and Ness Autographed Replica in the other picture and the other auctions I provided. Yours is not the same as those.

Just to reiterate, I'm not saying you're trying to rip people off. I don't know where you got the jersey, and you may have reasons to believe that it is indeed authentic. I just have some reservations about it, given what I've posted here.

Yeah I did not buy this new, I just bought it for a collection i'm too small for a 5x. I will do a close examination and look at comparisons too identify it. If I think it is fake I will take it off or list it as a fake for a lot less cost. Thank you for bringing this to my attention even though it could be a potential bummer.

No problem. Sorry to give you some potential bad news. I've had a little experience with the Mitchell and Ness jerseys and people just love to counterfeit them. They are gorgeous when they are authentic though. I have the 1989 Texas Rangers Nolan Ryan Batting Practice Jersey. But, I waited and bought it straight from M&N when they had a 50% off sale.

yes I too love Mitchell Ness stuff and own a multitude of them, (most never worn) Their Cooperstwon collection stuff is handcrafted Beauty!

Well it does stink to get that news that it could potentialy be fake, I was not aware and I would hate even more if someone gave up some of their prized collection for it. I haven't been able to do more research on it yet but on reguard to what you said mine does NOT have a button at the top; it DOES have blue outline around the Rangers on the front; but DOES NOT have a star at the bottom of the "R" on Rangers. So if that is a dead giveaway please someone let me know. Thanks!

I am stumped! I was reading how to spot a fake mitch & ness, mine is made of thick heavy material, which is good. I've noticed some of the jersey have the "1976" below and some had it beside the coop collection/mitch&ness like mine. I haven't had much finding one identical to mine but after looking at your examples over and over I noticed that the jersey that Perry is actually wearing is NOT identical to the other examples.

Notice in the picture that the jersey Gaylord Perry is wearing has 2 blue stripes on the left arm as opposed to all the other ones, including mine, just has one.

This feels like an episode of LOST, I'm not finding answers only more questions haha
