Back in 2010 I busted a case of Chrome prepurchased before Strausburg was injured. By the time the cases were shipped the value fell nearly 50% that's another story for another time.

In the case was the Superfractor of Riaan Spanjer-Furstenburg 1/1 so I decided to try for the rainbow. In the past 2 years I've been able to get most of the cards including a printing Plate, but the Red refractor of /5 eluded me. I lost a sniped auction with a bid of 47$ shortly after release & later a member on another site said he had one but his price was outragious so I passed.

This week this popped up on E-Bay - http://www.ebay.com/itm/230879254737?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 - I put in a initial bid to keep the guy from cancelling the auction & set a snipe to insure I'd get the card. Well forward to last night no one else bid on it so I got it for the initial bid of $9.99.

Complete rainbow pics later.

Congrats Bud.

I too normally put an initial bid to keep the auction live, but that cost me recently on the 2010 SPx Tim Tebow WM Big Patch /5. Had him convinced to sell for $75, but since I bid, couldn't change it. Instead of telling him to cancel bid, change it, etc, etc. I ended up losing the Tebow at $178....WoW.

I will use your persistence to hope to find another..... tongue.gif
