the wings/hawks game was good, devils/sabres game was good and so was the avs/kings

well sharks always seem to blow it in the playoffs ever year so no surprise seeing the avs have played well against them this year and the coyotes are new to the show so they could crumble , well just have to see cant see a 4 v 5 , it will be Chicago v New Jersey it would be a nice reprieve for both sports areas because its been awhile since either have one a championship plus for new jersey has the nets the devs have to keep nj pride

I cannot see a three peat! Both teams have not played up to last years level. I think there are too many other good teams that might prevent one or both of them from making the finals. The Pens will face a tough task with Washington or New Jersey (have not beaten either all season). I also think Detroit will have a tougher time in later rounds. We will see soon!

I cannot see a three peat!  Both teams have not played up to last years level.  I think there are too many other good teams that might prevent one or both of them from making the finals.  The Pens will face a tough task with Washington or New Jersey (have not beaten either all season).  I also think Detroit will have a tougher time in later rounds.  We will see soon!

Honestly, the West is a much better conference but (no bias aside) the Wings could beat any of those teams in a 7 game series. They didnt play up to their level because half the team was hurt the whole season.

Pittsburgh was not that good of team last year either but they won it from the 4 seed. I could easily see a Penguins vs Wings matchup again this year and if i were a betting man, thats where i would lay my money.

Here is my reasoning for Pens Hawks
geno wasnt healthy during the season but seems to be getting back to 100%. The old men in Pittsburgh Guerin, gonchar will turn the switch back on to juice the centers staal, crosby and malkin. Fleury has been known to play at a different level come postseason! The Hawks may have their best chance this year as the Cap will begin to crunch them in subsequent years. Plus I thimk Niemi can stand on his head any time he feels motivated to!

see above for Pens and for the sharks I feel this maybe it. if it doesnt get done then heads will roll Nabokov is just to suspect in goal and that is why i placed the hawks first. Suggestions to coach put blinders on Thornton so he doesnt realize what season it is?!

In the east if Pens dont make it Ill take the Devils. I just dont like Jose theodore the goalie of the caps!

In the west Ill stick with Pens and Sharks and give a possible outside chance to the dead wings who I abhor!

If you'd have told me a month or so ago that the Red Wings and the Penguins both would be eliminated in the 2nd round, I'd have said you were crazy!!!

Out of the 4 of us in my house, all with different favorite teams, you'd think that we'd have more tension in the house during each game.

I wanted Detroit. My 5 year old wanted Pittsburgh, my 7 year old wanted Boston. So far only one still in is dh's favorite Canadiens.

Based on who's left, this house is hoping for Montreal vs Chicago in the finals. It'd be good to see the old teams going for it!!
