Today I went to an estate sale and bought a group of baseballs. I didn't know who they were signed by but they all looked real. I do not collect baseball, so all of them would be up for sale or trade, if interested, but let me explain.
I was told that most of them were St. Louis Cardinals because this ladies grandson was a bat boy for the team. Some of them are very obvious to pick out.
Todd Zeile was the first I recognized
This one was a little beat up but it looks like Tom Pagnozzi
I will update the others as I get them uploaded, but the last one I think I did pretty good.
Lee Smith - Pitcher
Pedro Guerrero
Bob Tewksbury (Spelling) - That is what it looks like
Joe Torre - Yankees - Former Coach
Bert Blyleven - Pitcher
Then I found a few more I had to search and search last night to find out, and i found out most of them
Al Kaline
Red Schoendiest
Then this was the last ball
The first signature I could read was Bob Dillinger - So I looked him up and looked what teams he played on, and he played on the 1951 Chicago White Sox team for one year. I continued to look at the ball and it is signed by a bunch of players, but the pen is really faded. So I continued to look to see what players were on the ball
As you can see there were a few more signatures here, One had a J and a E for the first and last name. I looked at all the roster and found Joe Erautt played for the Chicago White Sox in 1951 the only year that Dillinger played for them. So I was pumped, because that was the first year that one Hall of Famer made his first ever All Star appearance.
So I continued to look on the ball to find more and more signatures, This is who I can make out because it is very, very faded
Billy Pierce - Pitcher
Joe Erautt - Catcher
Bob Dillinger - Infielder
Don Lenhardt - Outfielder
Bud Stewart - Outfielder
and this one you can read plain as day, NELSON FOX
I will listen to offers, let me know if your interested in trading or trying to buy these items.
The ball with Nelson Fox has about 20 signatures on it, but they are very faded. You can see them all on in my photobucket.
