I've decided to try to get my hands on one of each in the four 2008 Ultimate Collection - Ultimate Legendary/Futures/Dual/Signature Jersey series..

I'll be updating here each time there's a new addition aswell as in my sig. The sig is ahead of the thread, I update the sig with each added card.

Me too, on card, low numbered, great pics on most of them, the design around the jersey pieces. I like everything about these cards. I feel the same way about another series, because I already know, what the next series i'll pursue after this will be.. I'll need a basketball series to match this right?

Peyton is... four times! Eli is also in four times, Elway, Steve Young, Tomlinson and others twice. As i wrote in the first post Upper Decks own checklist is incomplete so i don't know about Brady. But i'll be disapointed if he's not, that wouldn't make sense.

Oh and by the way, i have one of the Peytons coming my way

Usually there's a little bit of tape around the edge of the holder to make the cards don't bust out, but twice around the whole thing??!! that's just overkill and reeeally anoying.

Alright, here we go. HUGE update, a ton of cards to show off now, almost all with the help of Chris (aka crpalmi) who was nice enough to let me have cards I won on ebay be sent to him and then on to me. He even bid on a lot of these because the sellers wouldn't ship internationally, and let me pay along with the group break payments!! Thanks a million Chris

Sweet Marion Barber card! I was a little disappointed that he didn't deliver as much a pounding on defenders this past year as he's done in previous seasons. Same goes for Brandon Jacobs. Hopefully they return to form. I always enjoy highlights of big backs running over defenders.

It's my second, but it's number 4 of 4 different Peytons in the set

#07/15 - I actually think that the one I have #'ed to 35 has a better picture than this.

I'm trying, but it's gonna be hard. With two Elways, another Young, another Favre and two more each of Peyton and Eli theres a loooong way to go..


This is my third Peyton auto and they all look amazing. He does have one of the nicest sigs in sports.

There's a little story and a shout out to go with this one.

After christmas, when i had gotten the Favre on page 1 as a christmas gift, I saw this Eli card that babybraves05 aka Alex had bought. Alex was kind enough to tell me about a similar one on ebay, and that set it all off. I started searching for more.. and more.. AND MORE! And now, I'm almost obsessed with getting this set

So this, is THE card that set it all in motion. Thanks again Alex

Eli isn't awful...he just gets a lot more undue criticisim because he can't live up to his brother (or father's) standards. That being said...there are much worse QB's out there.

I cringe too. So far only one has been $100 plus(guess who ), I've also lost one that went in the mid $100s. But there are some that are $100 plus that I've only seen as buy it now on ebay so I guess I have to go above the 100 a few times more

I'm not sure concentrating on football would have prolonged his career. The injury he suffered was during football and it was a very rare, unfortunate injury that basically ended his football career on what appeared to be a routine tackle at the time. He ended up having his hip replaced and made a football comeback literally impossible. It was actually quite remarkable that he was able to recover enough to actually get back to baseball for 2 more years after the injury all things considered. The guy was a freak of nature as far as talent was concerned....

I wasn't saying that football would have prolonged his career. I know he got hurt playing football, he got hurt playing against the Bengals.
I just meant that I wish that he never got hurt and he didn't spilt his time playing baseball and football. He might have been one of the greatest RB's in history if he stayed healthy and played only football. He ran with amazing power and speed.

Now...biggest of the biggies may be subject to a matter of opinion. For example, looking at the list, I think my biggest of the biggies would be Mr. Sanders. However, knowing that you are a Green Bay fan, your biggest of the biggies might be Mr. Favre. So using that logic, since it is not the biggest of the biggies, I think I can rule out the Favre. Plus, you already have one of the Favre's, so it may not warrant such a dramatic buildup on your part.

Continuing with my logic, it is quite possible that even though you are a Packer fan, you may still consider Mr. Sanders to be the biggest of the biggies...afterall, Green Bay and Detroit aren't that far apart so it is possible that you are a fan of both. The problem with that theory is that you are from Denmark, so chances are, your team loyalties have nothing with locale, but more with the team itself. The fact that you are and Angels fan (southern Cal), a Trailblazers fan (Oregon), a Packers fan (Wisconsin) and a Red Wings fan (Michican) supports this theory.

Therefore, based on my absolutely senseless logic, I am going to guess that you now have an Elway /5 on your Incoming list.

There's a whole story with this one, it was listed with a reserve that wasn't met, and then relisted without. I wouldn't have won it the first time, so I'm very happy that there was a reserve on it the first time

Well, because Bob seems especially fond of this card, and because none of the cards in this set, to my knowledge, are #'d to 264, I believe there is only one logical guess for the next big one to arrive.

My guess is there is now the Aaron Rodgers\Brett Favre dual on your incoming list.

Looking forward to seeing the new addition and whether I used sound logic....
