Outline · [ Standard ] · Linear+ 2019 Allen and Ginter blaster - 1/1 mojo!

After work last night I bought two blasters of 2019 Ginter. At first glance the break itself was pretty lackluster. One box yielded a Chris Taylor jersey card. The other, not so much....the only notable highlight was a damaged black border mini in one pack. I decided to go through the rest in the morning looking for any short prints.

I went through the minis first this morning - nothing significant apart from a black border Hank Aaron and a base Griffey mini. Going through the base cards I noticed one seemed different....kinda glossy. I first looked at the odds on the blaster and noticed glossies were 1 in 9,000+ packs. Then I turn the card over and see the 1/1 stamp.

Last night I overlooked a Roger Maris base glossy 1/1!! For anyone interested it likely will be for trade. I’ll post a pic later today.

Nice hit, congrats! It sounds like those are harder to spot, you would think they would make a 1/1 stick out from the other cards.

To be honest, if I hadn’t checked the odds I wouldn’t have known there was a glossy variant. It may have been trashed.

nice hit. one year topps stuck them inside the top of the box, you literally had to rip the box top apart ..
