Wow, I loved the original Omega Man... the remake wasn't bad (it was called "I am Legend" and was originally supposed to star Schwarzenegger instead of Will Smith)...

I wasn't a Logan's Run or Clockwork Orange fan...

Here are some my favs... in no particular order...

Aliens
Outland
The Road Warrior
Pitch Black
Signs
They Live
Star Trek II - The Wrath of Kahn
Them
Dark City
Deep Blue Sea
Looker
Ghostbusters

"Baseball players will take anything. If you had a pill that would guarantee a pitcher 20 wins but might take five years off his life, he'd take it" MLB pitcher Jim Bouton about drug use in the Major Leagues... quoted in 1969.

Omega Man is actually a remake of I Am Legend. So the movie has been made 3 times now. Completely forgot about Road Warrior and They Live.... 2 awesome movies. They Live certainly would get a "Top 15" nod from me. I hope they remake Logan's Run...that seems to be what Hollywood is doing-remaking everything.

Wow, I didn't know there was an original I am Legend... Logan's Run remake is supposed to come out in 2012, but we will see... it has been delayed a couple times previously...

Let me correct myself. I Am Legend is a remake of Omega Man which is a remake of The Last Man on Earth.....all originate from the book "I Am Legend".

10. Battle Beyond The Stars - great B-movie!
9. Predator 1 and 2
8. Superman
7. Star Trek: First Contact
6. Men In Black - a bit comical but it was original
5. The Terminator - who knew this low-budget film would get a cult following?
4. Back To The Future - original and fun!
3. Star Wars - set the bar for all sci-fi movie afterwards
2. Alien - slow by today's standards but I love it's originality
1. The Matrix - this movie can stand alone without its successors

Others who didn't make my cut but I still I like:
Independence Day
Starship Troopers
Wrath Of Khan - 2nd best Trek movie for me
Undiscovered Country (a bit too comical)
I, Robot
Logan's Run
The Star Wars prequels (too comicbook-like)
Spiderman I/II/III

And a possible new #1 before the end of the year......

None better cool.gif

I love too many to make any sort of list, but most of my faves are older movies, like Robocop, They Live, and Terminator 1+2.. what older? these aren't old yet! I'm am also an absolute sucker for 50's sci-fi flicks, and you can't not like the original Star Trek series smile.gif

Not a big fan of a lot of the newer hollywood blockbusters .. except Hellboy and Star Trek biggrin.gif

Note: The Legend/Omega movies aren't remakes, they're all based on the same book smile.gif
