In the July 2007 issue of Tuff Stuff, there was a Card Commentary about what qualifies as a vintage card in racing. The conclusion was that vintage goes from 1995-2004, what the author defined as the Golden Age decade of NASCAR cards.

Do you agree or disagree?

i wouldn't call that vintage i would say that NASCAR cards have not reached the vintage stage yet...they started in 1988 it has been almost 20 years. Look at baseball vintage..what anything older than 50's???
The premiere time for nascar cards was about 1996-1998 that is when I believe the most nascar card companies where around....like Press pass, UD, Pinnacle, Maxx, action packed, Finish line, Wheels, scoreboard, skybox, and fleer ultra (some of these companies might part of another card company). Now we only have on company..Press Pass. they do a good job, but with competition better things/ideas happen.

I consider vintage cards to be Pre 1980. Some folks say Pre 1975. NASCAR cards just haven't been around long enough to classify any of them as vintage.
